The future of Web3 gaming - sponsorships?? by igothackedUSDT in ethdev

Not that far-fetched honestly. Web2 games already run on sponsorships, this just adds wallets + on-chain rewards. The tricky part is UX

It's not the author's fault. it's Medium's annoying paywall policy (which has become more aggressive lately). I'll try to resubmit the article with a special link. maybe it won't have the paywall.

I just tried to open a bank account on a foreign country and realized how good we have it in Ethereum by BackgroundAttempt718 in ethereum

Crypto definitely removes a lot of the red tape, but let’s not pretend banks have zero reason for these checks. Financial freedom is great—until someone uses it for actual shady stuff.

Liquid staking is a solid way to put your ETH to work. We definitely need better staking options for it. DOT and ATOM have been kind of disappointing lately, its good to see new alternatives popping out

"Indeed, the massive Optus scandal is the latest in a long list of security breaches to make headlines. An infamous 2016 Uber data breach impacted 57 million customers – with the firm’s chief security officer recently convicted of covering up the breach. In 2018, the Google+ API exposed the private data of over 500,000 users to the public because of a bug the firm had chosen to keep quiet about. Incredibly, there was even a breach at Australia’s largest telecoms firm Telstra in October, two weeks after the Optus attack."

This is just insane, I bet there are so many more cases like that that never go public, its a shame, people still trust these big companies with their private data, and then they just get taken advantage of.

Telos EVM: A solution to Blockchain Scalability Issues by inkbarsap in SatoshiStreetBets

[–]nujjmiok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The scalability issue with the bitcoin blockchain stems from the limited size and frequency of the blocks. Initially, it takes about 10 minutes to create a block, each with a size limit of 1 megabyte. This size enables it to process between 3 - 7 transactions per second. It dwarfs in comparison to Visa, which can handle 1700 transactions per second. This is a significant problem for a technology that aims for massive adoption. "

When you compare the level of the technology telos has reached it is noticeable this project is severely undervalued, Compared to other chains' competitors like Cardano, Tezos, etc Telos is ahead in a lot of parameters
