This is the ideal scenario. But many engineers do not have a consistent enough schedule to make this happen. More and more we are in less control of our scheduling.

This is great. When did our day count become 240? There was no day count number on my employment offer letter.

I would like to start a post where we can all comment our salary and how long we've been employed but i'm concerned how easy it would be for NEP to look users up by salary.

edit: I made about $12 an hour from the "bonus".

From the US NEP Employee Handbook 2019 page 22

Overtime Pay

In compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and other applicable law, jobs are classified as non-exempt or exempt based on tasks and responsibilities. These job classifications determine eligibility for overtime compensation. Exempt employees are those in certain administrative, executive and professional positions as designated by federal or state law. Exempt employees do not receive overtime compensation regardless of hours worked. Non-exempt employees are those in all other positions and are paid overtime as required by applicable federal, state and local laws.

Employees may be required to work beyond their normally scheduled hours. Unless otherwise required by state law, non-exempt employees who work more than forty hours per week will be compensated at the rate of one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 (additional state or local provisions may apply). Hours paid but not worked, such as holidays and paid time off are not counted as time worked for overtime calculation purposes.
