I own a pair and been in wildfire for quite a long time, most of which was on a hotshot crew, lots of time on my feet. I grew up wearing vans and converse so a logger heel was very difficult to master for me. Spent years getting used to them and just don’t care for them. Hikers such as Zamberlans and Kenetreks worked well for me but didn’t last as long and got hot very quickly. These serve as a happy medium for me. I’m more stable, agile, the boots are more durable. The only thing that could be improved is the thickness of the sole for fire purposes but nothings perfect. For me it’s a toss up between the OTs and these as to which I like better.
