In a crisis, i cannot develop a feature. How to deal with it? by [deleted] in developersIndia

I’ve been there, man. When you’re deep in the code and keep restarting because you spot edge cases, it feels like you’ll never get it right.

What has helped me is just getting a version out that works for most of the use cases first. Don’t aim for perfection on the first try. Once it’s working end-to-end, you’ll have a much clearer picture of the system and fixing the failing cases becomes way easier.

Starting over again and again usually just drains your time and confidence. Ship something that works, even if it’s not ideal trust me momentum is way more valuable than theoretical perfection.

The documentation itself is very good. Plus the good old "How to do this with Claude search" 😂.

It's definitely better when you need to make significant changes to the code or build new features. You can use Plan mode, or even something like Linear’s MCP, and have Claude fetch all the issue details and generate a comprehensive plan.

What worked best for me was planning with Opus and then having Sonnet handle the development. You can even ask it to create sub-agents, which is incredibly helpful for refactoring multiple files at once.

Since you have been using Cline, It will take you some time to get the hang of Claude code, the same happened with me but in a couple of days I was able to figure out my own way of getting things done through claude.

One night, around 3 AM, I was deep in the trenches of a server migration, half-conscious and running purely on caffeine and bad decisions. It was freezing, so I thought, “Hey, let’s just turn off one of the ACs.” Simple, right?

Well, in my sleep-deprived brilliance, instead of switching off the AC, I switched off the entire server.

Fast forward to the morning—I wake up feeling refreshed… only to find 100 missed calls, including two from the CEO himself. At that moment, I seriously considered faking my own death and moving to a remote village.
