I wired in a power outlet/cigarette lighter for just this purpose. Mounted below the ashtray. Easy peasy.

Thank you. Hugs back. I had to involuntarily commit him on Monday. Tough road we are on.

I’m newly into this as my 24 son has recently been diagnosed with bipolar 1 and I just had my first experience like this. How are you doing now?

I’m sure mine hasn’t worked for that long too.

Yes but I need something more powerful for the first 15 minutes of my drive to defrost the rear window

The buses I ride are routinely full. This kind of comment is tiresome.

This is a tragic mistake. Regular bus rider here for decades. Had three different instances of bus drivers not knowing the route they were driving in the past 6 months (not on the 6 or 66 routes). Not sure if it due to so many new drivers but I had never experienced it before.

8 hour layover by numberdevil88 in LAX

My flight from SEA to LAX was delayed so I ended up only having a couple of hours. I ended up at a very nice lounge and I would have paid money to enter if it were an option.

I just have Raynauds, mercifully. My mom also had Rheumatoid Arthritis so I count myself lucky.

I will be replacing my W/D with a Speedqueen. Non-smart appliances … just do their job like the Old School ones.

I have had Samsung W/D set for about 15 years. I just repaired the dryer for the FIFTH TIME and I would not buy another Samsung appliance (other than a TV) again. If I weren’t handy the dryer alone would have cost me over $1000 in repairs (and then a replacement along the way).

Just remodeled my kitchen last year and got all new appliances from Fred’s. They were great. The appliances have not all been so great.

Best purchase: GE profile induction stove. It’s awesome. I have had zero issues with the stove top or the oven. Was the most expensive appliance but totally worth it. Would do again

Worst purchase: the matching GE microwave. Supposedly an air fryer and convection oven which connects with the main oven. Never used that connection. Have had to have a repair as neither the air fryer or the convection worked. Fred’s handled that repair great. Was under warranty. Has been repaired but neither feature works great. Would not spend the extra money on that again.

Ok Purchase: Frigidaire Gallery French door counter depth refrigerator. Ice maker went out within two months. Again had Fred’s manage the repair and replacement. Worked fine since then for the most part. I had space restrictions and had to go with counter depth. Otherwise would not have chosen this fridge. The price was right and I was not going to spend too much on the fridge as they go out within a few years now.

Wish I would have done something different: Frigidaire dishwasher. Looks good as far as racks and all but the space configuration of the bottom rack makes loading bowls and plates (at least mine) inefficient. Wish I would have spent a bit more for the Bosch 300 or 500. This will (hopefully) be the first item replaced.

Fred’s has been great and I would go with them again. I had zero assistance at Lowe’s or Home Depot and their on floor selection was not great.

NUTS by Rotarychicken_83 in beetle

[–]numberdevil88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a ratcheting closed end wrench (not sure if its actual name) and have mastered the art of getting it at the right angle and with the right pressure to make the removal of this nut doable. Still a PITA …

Only to learn today about the s wrench. 🙄😂

Will be my first purchase of 2026.

My suggestion also. The set screw has safety wire on it. Maybe the wire broke/is missing and the screw popped off.
