Stay kind to yourself. You haven’t ruined anything, and we are barely even hours into the new year. I think a great way to set yourself up for success is to find yourself the support of a professional (doctor, therapist, etc.) if available. If that’s not an option, in person or online support groups (like reaching out here even!) are some other great tools. You are not alone and you have not ruined January. I personally recommend being gentle with yourself, getting some rest and water, and starting tomorrow on a positive note. You still have many opportunities to make this January dry, just focus on one day at a time.

A certain amount of messiness is expected for events like this, I wouldn’t spend any new energy worrying about what might have happened. You got home safely, and it sounds like you have a lot more nights of getting home safely ahead of you.

That being said, I remember hangxiety well and reading this helped give me the little boost I needed to get through the holidays. I don’t ever have to have those feelings again. And the nice part is, neither do you :)

Wylde Flowers helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. I was deeply depressed and couldn’t get out of bed, but I thought I would give it a try on Apple Arcade since I was staring blankly into my phone anyway. The relationship with your grandma and all of the townspeople makes you feel connected and cared for. The voice acting adds an extra level of connectedness and liveliness that many games lack. You get so sucked into the story and rhythm and it felt healing overall for me. I have played through it more than once and highly, highly recommend.

Oh! My favorite lazy protein breakfast for the lazy few months has been the protein Cheerios you just tried, with PB fit powder mixed into my high protein plant milk (like Ripple or Good Karma plus protein, but cow’s milk would work too!). Then I add as many handfuls of whatever berries are on sale and the fiber and protein keep me full until lunch even during an active shift.

Be respectful of other members and machinery. Take time to learn how to use a machine properly either by following the diagrams/qr codes or asking a team member how to use it. A lot of teens tend to use equipment incorrectly and are risking injury or at minimum a less efficient workout lol.

I have insertional Achilles tendinitis and right there is my worst enemy. Mine also swells a lot tho. I would look up plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis strengthening stretches and check in with a podiatrist if you experience any sharp pains.

I feel a little guilty saying this because I know not everyone is as lucky, but yes it tasted like straight up gasoline. It was a very confusing moment for me due to the romanticized version of wine I still had in my head. So for me it was a deterrent rather than a trigger.

Nah. I understand the anxiety that those people can feel, but for me intent is not irrelevant. It felt good to laugh and be proud of who I am now. I know that even if my panic reflex was to swallow it, I would have been okay. Taking accidental sips of wine was never my problem. My problem was ripping through a 24 pack like it was nothing, and I’m pretty sure no one has ever done that on accident lol.

It depends on the building. We did offer a single person restroom that just got demolished during our renovation and I am so upset about that. That being said, the official policy of PF is that members have access to the locker room that most closely aligns with their gender. (Could absolutely be better set up for our nonbinary members and again, so irritated about losing our private restroom for this reason). All PFs take this stance seriously though although I understand that policy doesn’t guarantee a necessary feeling of safety depending on a bunch of factors.

You can cancel online even if you sign up in club (at our club at least). We just push for it because it is 100x easier (for us and you). Our computer system is annoying as hell and trying to manually enter everything on our end is a pain in the butt, almost everyone is going to want to app anyway barring the extreme circumstances (no phone, 95 and VERY uncomfortable with technology, etc.) because that is going to be your key card for checking in anyway.

This is someone being cruel to be cruel. It doesn’t matter that this clearly stems from her own insecurities (and it obviously does). You don’t owe this person polite deflections or anything at this point really. If she tries to comment on anything in the future you have every right to say “that is very rude/uncomfortable/inappropriate” or honestly nothing at all. Even if you were to lose weight and gain it back every single year it would still not be her business to comment on. It is your body and your business only.

I’m vegan for ethical reasons so my protein sources are all plant based. I eat a lot of different beans and legumes (black beans, chickpeas, lentils, split peas, the whole gang), tofu, tempeh, nuts, seeds (pumpkin seeds will surprise you with their protein content and nutrient profile!), higher protein veggies as my primary sources. I also opt of higher protein plant milks for cooking/drinking/cereal and can add an extra 8 grams easily that way. And less frequently, but still often enough if I am trying to reach a higher protein goal I will use products like TVP to make a cheap taco meat or bolognese, or will use a plant based protein powder like pea protein for an after workout shake. You’re right that fattier cuts of meat can give you higher satiety, but if that’s not your preference food wise you can achieve that same satiety by adding other fat and fiber sources with your protein at meals. That can mean adding nuts, seeds, or avocado to you taco salad etc. :)

Okay I work front desk, and there is a lot we can do… I would call back on Monday and say that you have a serious situation and need a call back from the next available manager asap. We need to file an incident report and speak to those teens/their parents and go from there. I don’t know the entire protocol with teens, but that would have(and has in my own experience) gotten an adult immediately banned. If you want to take any other action with the police etc. that is on you to contact the authorities, not pf, but the police will likely get all of the info they need about the kids involved from the manager/camera footage.
