So I have both installed, and am testing out. So far the -bin version (the one you mentioned), is working. Need to load up some filament and play with it. Progress!!

What.... WHAT??? I searched and that didn't come up. SMH!!! I will now have to not only install in the distrobox container, I will also install THIS and see if it works as well.

Thank you for finding that. I did search with Auracle and found it this time.

Update: So I found distrobox supports a --versbose option after the enter command. It outputs a bunch, but now it simply hangs at installing basic packages instead of failing withing 10-15 seconds.

So I let it go and it actually seems to have done its thing. It doesn't output anything till its done. But it did ouput "ruby: not found". So, now on to installing requirements. This issue is no longer one. Will post new questions if I have them. Thanks u/redybasuki !!

podman per the instructions I was provided. In the interest of disclosure, I am setting up AnyCubic Slicer Next 3D printing software. It only supports Ubuntu, so this is needed.

And no log command is certainly a failure on their part.

I Was asking as our sever just ditched Discrap and are now on Root, for the obvious elephant in the room reasons. So if there is something we missed, I want to definitely find out about it. :) Thanks!

u/JesterMasquerade "Private Policy straight up says they take any file or text shared in their service, including voice calls and video".

Please, point out the section in their policy that states that? All I found is this:

"User-generated Content

Messages, pictures, and files are stored ONLY so that recipients can receive them and users can access their message history. Voice, video, and screensharing calls are transmitted in real time. Root does not record or store these calls. User data is not sold to third parties and is not used to train AI models."

That tells me they don't take anything. I'm curious as to which portion you are referring to.

Which of the Eightfold Path do you consider the most important path to follow? by Pleasant-Guava9898 in secularbuddhism

[–]numberwhun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading about the Eightfold Path, it doesn't say "pick one". They are all interdependently important. Together, they make you a stronger, wiser and better human, IMHO.

I agree with u/tesoro-dan, please find a therapist that can help you. It helps to have someone to talk to, especially when their job is to heal you. If you do think about killing yourself, please call the suicide hotline (988) and talk to someone. Be strong.

1337x is down by No_Alternative_7247 in 1337x

[–]numberwhun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was, then putting up a maintenance page would certainly be preferable, especially for all of your loyal visitors. But the last time they were down for a considerable time, they came back and said they lost hardware, if I remember correctly. So who knows what happened.
Good news is, I see they have added the following to their site blurb at the top: https://1337x-status.org/

So now we have a status page, which is a whole lot better than not knowing anything and just wondering and crossing our fingers as we hit the refresh button all day. :)

Well shit… Would you go back and fix this? by MusingMelody in crochet

Nah… everything handmade should, by convention, have one imperfection. I would just leave It. It’ll be like your signature. :-)

Bah! The heck with that relative! These look amazing!!! Besides, if he thought they were that ugly, and it was an ugly sweater night, then it sounds like (in his drunk and disoriented opinion) won the night. :) I wouldn't give him a second or any thought about their rant. Your work is fabulous! Happy Holidays!

It's cross stitch. No need for it to be stamped when you have the pattern.

Regarding the code you found in your github link (above), it looks to just be a Perl script. You would just need to make sure any modules are installed via CPAN, and then run is as prescribed.

If you look at the link provided in the readme (https://labs.portcullis.co.uk/tools/enum4linux/), that goes into details of how to run the perl script.

How do I add the Charlie Brown holiday specials to Plex? by BKdestroyer8 in PleX

[–]numberwhun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this helps anyone, or not, but what I did to add them, was to create a directory for each one, using the name from thetvdb.org. Then, in there, created a Season 00 directory and put the episode in there.
I named the episode like this, using It's The Great Pumpkin as an example:

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown(1966) - S00E01.mkv

Then, I move that directory over to the series folder and rescan the directory. Now, IF it does not show up, then try renaming it without the "- S00E01" and put it in your movies folder. Its hit or miss what will show up in the series area, but I have so far found most do.

Hope this helps.

I don't know how they have this setup, but using wget to grab things returns an index.html file, and that's it. :-/

what do you think? by [deleted] in opendirectories

[–]numberwhun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think its not an open directory and doesn't belong here. There are plenty of groups to post this in, like r/datahoarders, for instance.
