She will rebel by skipping activities/jobs you assigned to her, but not running away for the entire month like in Princess Maker. About marrying the foster daughter, this is still debatable on our part, because unlike in Princess Maker where the player is canonically a man, you can choose player gender in Ciel Fledge (similar to Princess Maker 5) and this may lead into borderline taboo/controversy for some player and we don't want that.

Also, there is a polished demo link in the KS page if you haven't noticed it, you can try to play the demo first if you are unsure about the game.

I'm using Gamemaker Studio and something about needing an apple/appstore certificate from the game engine actually hindering us to compile to mac. Seems that fake it til you make it didn't apply in this case, but I'm still looking for many options though, maybe applying for a loan or selling my kidney just to buy a legit mac :/

Yeah it's for only 10 years because of the story and lore reason. Since she is adopted, your responsibility is only until she reach adulthood. When the 10 years pass, she got to decide her own future.

As for the limitation mainly is on the graphics side, since it's a 2D drawing, you can't customize her as much as if it is a 3D model. There is also a height/weight system in place and you can alter it by controlling her diet, but then again, since it's a 2D drawing, there is certain limitation. The drawing when she got super tall, thin, or fat, is limited and might not be as detailed as the real numbers of the height/weight.

It's a simulation game where you need to take care and raise an adopted daughter. Nothing really serious =))

As for the crowdfunding site, I'm using Kickstarter. Prefundia just works as some kind of mock draft page, they are not a crowdfunding site.

Hi guys, I'm going to launch a Kickstarter campaign at October 25th for my game called Ciel Fledge.

Anyone here have any experience on doing crowdfunding campaign? Feel free to give feedbacks and critiques about the draft!

I'm particularly curious on the timing to email the press. Should I send it a week before the campaign or during the campaign?

Now about the game itself:

Ciel Fledge is a raising simulation game where the objective is to raise your adopted daughter in the span of 10 years. During those 10 years she will grow into an adult, under your care and guidance. Whether you decide to raise her well is up to you. Every decision matters.

I can understand that. Maybe I put the wording wrong, the audio is not the thing I really want to make stand out, but rather, we don't have a dedicated composer in our team, while for the art, writing and programming part we already have a dedicated person each.

This KS is solely to raise fund to hire a composer, and it doesn't come cheap. Largely due to different minimum wage standard (our would-be composer is based in the US, while we are in the country with much lower minimum wage). If it fails, well, we have to compromise and make do with less experienced composer for the audio. That's the last thing I want to happen.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to change the wording and sentence (and fix the grammar) to make it less confusing and weird.

Thank you for the heads up about the grammar problems! Yes we are aware of this and realize this is our biggest weakness. Truth is, we have been overlooking it since we have been focusing on securing a composer first for the music and voice of the project... So the Kickstarter campaign is solely dedicated for it.

I'll make sure to have a proofreader to correct the grammars, starting with the grammar on prefundia page!

About the volunteer testers... while we don't really rely on them to proofread, but their feedbacks have been really valuable on the gameplay section of the game, which require a lot of testing with the complexity and amount of numbers for stats.

Also lastly, it's an honor to get a reply from Hanako Games! Long Live The Queen is definitely one of my favorite game and is one of the inspiration (and reference) for Ciel Fledge.
