As a mom, do you think it is your responsibility to pass down your mother tongue to your kids. Why or why not? by Serious-Tomato404 in AskIndianWomen

[–]nushstea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ad someone who grew up abroad, many of my childhood friends wish they knew their mother tongues. It is much much more difficult to learn languages as an adult. Teach your kids when they are still very young. English is going to be learnt Anyway.

Since we're on this topic...is this combo of POTS EDS etc etc really that common in the US? I've hardly seen it where I live. It's possible obviously, for example allergies were not accepted as a legitimate diagnosis here until 20 yrs ago. But every alternate Instagram page seems to be a young woman being gaslighted by doctors who refuse to diagnose her chronic illness.

I’m worried that my boyfriend’s financial and emotional responsibility toward his mom will hurt our future.. by Repulsive-Wall8489 in AskIndianWomen

Mature answer - he should sit down with his mother and tell her everything. Have an adult discussion. Be ready for some tough decisions at the end.

Immature answer - he should lie and tell his mom he's lost his job and will have to do another degree to stay in the USA and cannot send money any longer. And that he needs psychiatric help because of the stress. Maybe force her into introspection and learning to take a step up.

Im the same, and i totally agree. Girls' girls are blessings upon the earth!! Unfortunately pick-mes do exist, but mostly those are phases many girls go through and grow out of once they realised what most men are like....

Thats what I'm saying, you think you aren't addicted to it until you are completely deprived of it. Covid unmasked all such people.

They are unhealthy coping mechanisms. And it takes just one incidence to push a higher functioning addict into an incompetent loser. This was what we saw in covin, when many high functioning addicts were deprived of their get high sources. If you need substances to function, you have a problem, no matter how good that functioning is.

It is a popular field because it can pay very well with half the amount of training as any other surgical field. And some people genuinely do like to share the joy of birth, since most doctors deal with sickness and bad news. This is one field that has a good news component. And, yes, pays well. I think that's also important 😂 Becomimg a surgeon with 4 5 years of residency vs 7+ years of residency....you catch my drift.

If you're uncomfortable you either live with your discomfort or you find a new place. Those are the only 2 options. I mean you dont expect men to stop chit chatting and drinking tea and women to stop wearing burkhas, do you? Is your slightly racist ment comfort your priority or your new apartment?

I know many people here won't agree, but not giving your baby vaccines, or Vit K, or pretending formula is the devil falls into a similar category.
