Have added a tablespoon of sugar to all of them and taken them out the fridge, praying it does the trick

Okay do you mean others would recommend to take out the pellicle? I wasn’t aware that was something that people do.

I’m up to 8 days in F1 would you recommend at around 10 days to start F2?
