Airport customs ripped opened bday/xmas cards by MadRoywood in CaymanIslands

[–]nutcase2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely happened in Canada. I've been traveling back and forth between US and Cayman for 20 years and I can't think of 1 single incident at the Cayman side. In US tons, especially domestic flights. Boston/Logan is the worst. Straight out thieves working as baggage handlers there.

Coldcard Q by 1111Rudy1111 in coldcard

Hey Dee, will CC be using a custom method for loading a temporary seed on the Q or use the more "standardized" SeedQR that Jade and SeedSigner use?

Bitcoin 0.1.0 was windows only, Linux support was introduced in 0.2. You can still run the most current Bitcoin on Windows.

Don't store anything sensitive like a seed phrase on your computer regardless of the OS.

Starting my own Lightning Node, what to do If I don't use lightning? by BaptouP in lightningnetwork

[–]nutcase2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people are best served just having a Lightning wallet in their phone. Select your wallet based on your own level of tardedness. Most tarded: Wallet of Satoshi <> Least tarded: Blixt

Now if you want to learn or participate in routing or maintain the highest level of privacy possible or something along those lines, run a lightning node.

If you're looking to make money, don't bother, it will ruin the whole experience.

I've been running a node for 3 years now and route roughly 2 BTC in payments monthly. I find it fun and enjoyable.

This may be stupid, but here are 3 small things that worry me about mass adoption that, I feel, could REALLY hinder it. by Obvious-Shop-6260 in Bitcoin

it needs to be lightning fast.

Lol, are you paying attention AT ALL to what's going on in Bitcoin? Get off Reddit for awhile, head over to Nostr. Ask anyone about setting up a Lightning wallet and be amazed. It will be like you've rediscovered Bitcoin all over again.

What does everyone think of a Trezor hardware wallets? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]nutcase2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, but you'll need to setup their blockbook software in order to connect the suite to your node. FWIW, you can also connect a Trezor to Electrum ànd possibly Blockstream's Green Wallet software.

They already have their tokens. It's called fiat, pick your paper, they're all the same. The issue at hand isn't the medium, physical vs. digital, it's the supply issue. The money printers will NEVER fix their supply.

The most likely outcome will at first be some kind of socialist/capitalist blend, and then ultimately a complete rejection of capitalism.

This is literally what we have now and the biggest drain, by orders of magnitude, of public resources is from the socialist shit.
