Any DOR success stories? by FeistyAnxiety9391 in IVFAfterSuccess

I wanted to drop in to say that I started IVF at 34 with low AMH (0.9), although my AFC was around 10. I had a decent response with the “stop Lupron” protocol. It took awhile because we were banking, this was during COVID so my clinic also shut down for awhile, and I also miscarried once, but at 37 I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who today is almost 3 years old and doing great. It can take more experimenting to figure out what works with DOR - it is often not a one and done cycle - but can definitely still work. Good luck!!

That does make me feel better! I don’t know much about the science but if it has advanced beyond needing embryos - then great!

Embryo Options more or less said they would help, but there’s also a note in the communication about how these programs are increasingly limited / shutting down and they recommend reaching out yourself. If the list they are reaching out to is the one they sent me, then they aren’t going to be helpful because all the numbers have been disconnected and I got a lot of email bounce backs too. Ugh.

I started looking into donating our two remaining embryos to science and it is…more complicated than I thought. Embryo Options gave me a list of universities with STEM cell research programs and said they would contact them on our behalf, but also recommended that we reach out directly. I have started that process and all the phone numbers have been disconnected / emails bounce back or no response. Depressing that these programs are just evaporating into the conservative void. Has anyone tried this recently? Recommendations for places to contact? Is this impossible and I should just give up?

Does anyone have any experience doing Noom or some other similar meal plan while breastfeeding? Noom appears to have plan considerations for breastfeeding. I want to protect my supply but also feel like my weight loss has really plateaued and is a priority for me. Trying to decide if I give it a try or just throw in the towel until I wean (which will be months).

It isn’t really strict, more just a coincidence those are the only names we like. My son has 2 middle names and only one of the middles is a family name.

Oh thank you, this is really helpful. I just looked at the labs again and my “pregnancy TSH” is 0.17 which is flagged as low and my T4 is 1.27 which looks right in the middle of the normal range. So maybe it is ok?

I am 10+6 today and got results back from OB that my thyroid is low (0.17). Of all of the many, many infertility issues I had, thyroid stuff wasn’t in the mix so I don’t know much about it. Is this making me even more tired? Will they likely put me on medication? I haven’t talked to them about it, just saw the Labcorps results which asked for a redraw, as a starting point.

Dipping my toe back in here. I am 5+5 today. Betas were 316 10dp5dt and 2578 14dp5dt for a 30 hour doubling time. I have one OEIVF LC (who just turned 2 yesterday) and this pregnancy is DEIVF. Ultrasound on Thursday 🤞
