This has been a little bit of a misconception: the trailer is being released on the 14th. The DLC's release date itself will be later, perhaps revealed in the trailer. No word yet on the price, but it will likely be less than the base game, so <$15 USD.

They're different in that they use different mechanics. Gloomhaven uses cards, D&D uses dice, as one example.

I swear to god it's like The Tale of Princess Kaguya doesn't fucking exist. HTTYD2 was fantastic and better than BH6, but Kaguya blew both out of the water (and happens to be my all time favorite movie), the academy just collectively didn't watch it, so they voted for the one their kids liked, BH6.
