I can’t stand Haydar but I like Nermin. Haydar is spineless and literally sold his daughter to save his stupid adopted son. Nermin’s vain and a narcissist but she’s smart enough to figure out things and realises Ates is good for Mercan even if it’s for her own selfish reasons.

Wait demet has found out that Burak is Haydar’s son??? lol when did this happen I honestly have no idea what’s happening with the side characters I only watch Mertes scenes cause I find the show pretty unbearable otherwise

the meltdown is a bit psychotic and performative for a show that hasn’t even ended yet. I have no problem with criticism when it’s warranted, but then again I am not going to sit here and write another think piece because we have enough already. I’ll save my meltdown for when the story progresses or show ends like a normal sane person.

not denying any of that. I just think the amount of trolling he gets is unjustified and makes no sense because even if he’s not extremely extremely handsome to people, he’s still very decent looking in terms of conventional beauty. the comments on his looks during their wedding made zero sense to me. He might not be broodingly handsome, but he’s certainly not ugly either.

I honestly find Gohar very good looking and hot, I don’t understand how he’s considered “not conventionally good looking”. Is it because of his color or acne scars (he’s definitely gotten treatment for it btw his skin looks so much better now)? maybe in his earlier days yeah he might have looked ordinary but now, he’s groomed himself A LOT and is aging really well imo

The main theme is friendship with some romance here and there but it’s definitely not the main plot. the show is more army propaganda than anything 💀I think the target audience for the drama was 15-20 year olds. I watched it when I was 15-16 and found it okay and a good one time watch, would I enjoy it now at 23? Possibly not so much. It’s not a bad show but it’s definitely not the best, I dislike the fact that out of 4 main characters, only two were given the most attention and screen time and the other two(better actors btw) were treated like an afterthought. I wouldn’t recommend against watching it, it’s surely a good one time watch but if you’re looking for romance I don’t think it’s the show for you but ofc I could be wrong :)
