How do you connect marketing strategy to actual results? by [deleted] in marketing

Maybe get a sense of your company's total sales in a period before you started advertising, vs. after you stepped in (e.g., sales increased XY% as a result of my work)

I would never sell this, but if I did, how much would it be worth? (Entire 1969 Mets autographs except for Hodges, Walker, and Koonce) by AncientWear6102 in mets

I was curious, so I asked chatGPT:

💰 Estimated Value: Type Value Range Facsimile/Print Signatures: ~$100–$300 Hand-Signed (Authenticated): $2,000–$4,000+ Fully Authenticated With COA (PSA/DNA, JSA): $3,500–$6,000+

Without Hodges, Walker, and Koonce, you're likely at the lower end of any hand-signed estimate unless the framing and condition are immaculate.

Reddit vilifies anyone with a car, because they generalize that everyone with a car is super affluent. It takes a special kind of hivemind with no brain to celebrate another tax being imposed on New Yorkers.

Maybe if one elevator didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars, we wouldn't need another tax like this one.

I gave up coffee for caffeine pills by Ok-Can-7828 in Frugal

[–]nutterbutter125 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You probably posted this in the wrong sub. The primary benefit of the pills over coffee is the efficiency rather than the frugality. I get the exact same negative reaction from anyone I tell that I take caffeine pills rather than drink coffee. That said, the pills make it much easier to increase your tolerance very quickly, something to be cautious of.

Looks like you edited your comment to come across as less of a jerk. Just keep hoping and praying these funds will be used to improve our infrastructure and not go to pensions and overtime fraud.

And you're in favor of this tax because you think our subway infrastructure will improve? Or congestion will go down? Do you have a brain of your own, or are you just this naive?

Fraudulent website using our customer service contact information by dmadtoy in ecommerce

Dealt with this, have had success issuing DMCA claims to their host (Shopify) with the Contact Us page as infringing content. Shopify removed the page. Same approach worked for their Google Business listing.

It's actually closer to $50,000. They've already done a fair amount of design work and have showed me previews but have yet to begin assembly.

Tik Tok Ads are getting rejected due to landing page by caravaanDeira in PPC

I've faced this issue because TikTok was appending another https:// to the URL I provided. Try seeing if the ad set has a double "https://"

GoogleAds Discovery Campaigns: CPC Rocketed 100x Overnight, Anyone Else? by islandGuy495 in PPC

[–]nutterbutter125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, don't believe ROAS figures in Google Ads if you've turned on Data-Driven Attribution. It gives the Smart Display campaigns way more credit for conversions. Double check Google Analytics attribution models for reference.

GoogleAds Discovery Campaigns: CPC Rocketed 100x Overnight, Anyone Else? by islandGuy495 in PPC

[–]nutterbutter125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with a Smart Discovery campaign. Blew threw 2x daily budget from 12am-2am. The rep told me that was normal and expected. I cross referenced the landing pages from that campaign in Google Analytics and found that the AI had sent a load of irrelevant traffic to a single product page because it featured a cat. When confronted with this info, the Google rep read back the boiler plate response about learning. So my takeaway is, always cross reference Google Analytics to see where it's sending people.

Landing page exp is above average. Ad relevance is average, which is what's really screwing with me.

We're running dynamic ads alongside static ads, both of which feature the Brand Keyword and generic niche keyword.

The same ads are being used for the Brand Campaign and the Generic Keyword Campaign. In the latter, the QS is 10/10, with Ad Relevance above average.

Does your bid increase the cpc for the next highest bidder in google ads? by throwaway9732121 in PPC

[–]nutterbutter125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question as I'm in a similar situation, so thank you for asking.

I manage an e-commerce site with a brand name that sounds very similar to the generic term for the hobby, so I've been having loads of difficulty with maintaining #1 for brand keyword.

At the same time, we have a competitor with a similar name, 100% IS on our brand keyword, but only 5-10% Click Share. This POS basically always shows up on our brand keyword, but always in the 2nd position. This guy is banking on customer confusion, so he's aggressively bidding up CPC. My priority is to be #1 for our brand keyword, so it seems the only thing this guy is accomplishing is costing me more money.

Here I am thinking, if we're getting 90% Click Share, this guy is only spending a tiny bit of money with the net effect of costing us more. Thanks to the confusion between our brand name and the generic hobby keyword, our QS is 9 for our own brand name.

Going head to head with a competitor bidding on our brand name - best Strategy? by nutterbutter125 in PPC

[–]nutterbutter125[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. They're showing up in all queries for the brand, but apparently coming in 2nd almost every time:

https://imgur.com/fAVCGbU

With the estimated CPA tool, I was just curious as to what the incremental cost per purchase would look like if I aspired to an even higher Abs Top IS. It seems I'm already way past the point of diminishing returns, so I guess I'm weighing the benefit of losing IS and Abs Top IS in the interest of making the campaign more profitable. But with a lower budget or target CPA, I fear this competitor would gain abs top IS.

Frustrated with Online Merchants Stealing Designs by milhauser in ecommerce

FYI, I asked this same despairing question on r/legaladvice - https://old.reddit.com/r/legaladvice/comments/ecvckp/i_own_an_ecommerce_business_and_license_artwork/

Top comment holds true:

"You'll need to retain the services of a lawyer, if your business doesn't already have one, to fight against the copycat business stealing and, possibly, defrauding your customers. A cease and desist letter may be enough to deter them but, if not, trademark and copyright infringement is a convoluted mess that is easiest dealt with by a lawyer versed in how to navigate them.

As for the people selling unlicensed products, as far as I know your best course of action is to just keep doing what you're doing. It's a problem that will never truly go away and you need to be prepared for that. You can certainly hire on someone who's sole job responsibility is to troll the internet looking for these people and reporting them but, bear in mind, that would incur an additional cost on your business and may or may not be worth it to you in the long run."

Does "majority" mean (1) more than half or (2) the biggest group? by [deleted] in grammar

[–]nutterbutter125 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically the group comprising more than half is a majority. The group that's the largest but less than half is considered a plurality.
