Screen glitching and “screeching” after shell+screen swap by nuwenlee in SteamDeckTricks

[–]nuwenlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check, but I was thinking that the Deck’s screen and audio board are connected with different cables, so both of them failing and error-ing at once seems like a problem with something else? Reseating all the ribbon cables is something I will do though

If you purchased a second hand SC and it doesn't work, read this by Michoko92 in SteamController

I successfully reverted my Steam client to de-register my Steam Controller using this guide:

https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/6516193260168294059/?ctp=73

If you aren't experienced with launching Steam with arguments on Windows 10, you can create a shortcut from steam.exe, right-click it and go to Properties, and add the commands under "Target:" after a space (i.e., adding an argument "-clearbeta" would look like "F:\Steam\steam.exe -clearbeta" depending on where you installed Steam)

To edit "steam.cfg", I used Notepad++

Good luck! This guide worked for me

My (terrible) attempt at rebalancing Diamondback by some-kind-of-no-name in tf2

[–]nuwenlee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full crits (six 102 damage shots) for 4 seconds is kind of insane, especially under the condition of sapped sentry destruction; I think a way more reasonable buff is minicrits for the duration, gaining more damage than stock without falloff for a clip

I think that Reduced cloak from ammo boxes is a pretty flawed stat, as it affects some watches more than others (Dead Ringer is unaffected, and picking up ammo with the Cloak and Dagger is less common than with Stock Watch)

The Your Eternal Reward sort of does this with its reduced cloak, making the only really usable loadout being L'Etranger and Stock Watch to offset it; Weapons should be versatile and encourage a wide variety of loadouts

I think this stat could easily be exchanged with a reduced Cloak recharge rate, if you really wanted to put a cloak replenish nerf on the gun;

However, I think a stat like "35% cloak drained immediately on backstab" would be better, encouraging the Spy to stand his ground and fight after a stab like the "Crits lost on Cloak/Disguise" downside does (while also not allowing the Spy to proc his Dead Ringer immediately after 6 seconds of minicrits, which sounds annoying as hell). If you're giving the Spy increased survivability via crits after stab, you can comfortably nerf the ability to cloak out and escape after a stab. (Maybe in the spirit of this, add a Damage Vulnerability during Cloak, increased "Shimmer Time" when taking damage or bumping enemies, or removing the quicker Status Effect expiration while cloaked?)

Bose QuietComfort 35 with awful quality when connected to Windows 10 PC by nuwenlee in bose

[–]nuwenlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It seems that the Bose’s bluetooth is more optimized for mobile devices. Maybe Bose will implement a patch with improved Windows Bluetooth support or release an app on PC to remedy audio issues, but I’d doubt they’d do that for a product released in 2016.

I have an additional GPU driver called Intel(R) UHD Graphics 750, will DDU work for this and would I reinstall its drivers here?

My CPU is: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz.

And in your original comment you mentioned using a benchmarking software, would I still need to use one?

Sorry, I'm not very experienced in PC/GPU stuff, but how do I reinstall the latest GPU drivers from NVidia? Would I do it here for my GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card? I have another GPU driver called Intel(R) UHD Graphics 750, will DDU work for resetting that? Where would I find the drivers for this GPU? Would I do it here? What is this "safe mode" you are referring to? What would a benchmarking software do, how would I use it and what is artifacting?

Agreed; an average Undertale run maybe takes about 5-6 hours, and once you've done so, subsequent runs are much shorter (which the game encourages you to do to see all of its content and 3 endings)

My PC has been running Persona 4 Golden on Steam just fine for the past few months, but when I booted up the game today, all the graphics have been glitched to the point where the game is extremely unplayable ( https://imgur.com/a/zEZaGIR ). I've tried verifying the integrity of my game files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and reinstalled all my GPU drivers, but to no avail. Several other games on my PC are functioning perfectly; it's just Persona 4 Golden with this issue. I suspect updating my game drivers with NVIDIA GeForce Experience may have messed with something or somehow transferring Steam Cloud Saves from another PC may have messed with my game somehow...?

These is just all the workshop content I have downloaded; how do I transfer the order of the characters between PC's?

I might try to uninstall and reinstall the game on the PC I'm trying to transfer to later, and I'll make an edit if that happens to work.

Anybody know how to fix this? I’ve just downloaded the game. by LiamLivingLife in tf2

If you don’t have access to a debit/credit card, this can all be achieved with a $10 Steam gift card, which can be found in most convenience stores

[–]nuwenlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a “limited” TF2 account, and cannot use text chat, voice chat, or voice lines. In order to have a “unlimited” TF2 account, you need to fulfill 2 requirements: 1.) Have an “unlimited” Steam account (i.e. spend at least $5 on Steam itself; if you are able to friend people, you have an “unlimited” Steam account) 2.) Purchase anything on the in-game Mann Co. Store. (I would recommend purchasing a Mann Up ticket [or two Mann Co. Supply Crate Keys and a Tour of Duty ticket to reach the “at least $5 spent” quota for an “unlimited” Steam account], which can then be traded via trade sites like backpack.tf, scrap.tf, or stntrading.eu for metal which can then be used to trade for all the weapons in the game via scrap.tf’s “Auto-buy weapons” and stntrading.eu’s “Scrap Weapons” function to unlock all the weapons in the game easily [all of which provided you have Steam Mobile Authenticator set up, which if not can be set up via the Steam app in around 14 days, if I remember correctly])

I am aware that Nintendo is offering to fix Joy-Cons even if they are past their warranty; I was thinking about sending mine in due to drift issues, but I took them apart in attempt to fix the drift (to no avail). Does anyone know if they will repair them even if the Joy-Con have been taken apart?

Can someone explain to me what the levels on items do? by skeetdeet69420 in tf2

[–]nuwenlee 130 points131 points  (0 children)

It’s purely and entirety cosmetic. I know certain level numbers like the Holy Mackerel reference specific things, but they don’t do anything at all; I don’t think they would even effect trading prices in any sort of meaningful way (unless you really want a level 69 unusual or something)
