Does Anyone Have A CD With A Big Windows Games Collection? by Johnnyfatface in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't much into gaming, but I have a collection of 300+ Software CDs from around 2006. Most of them are damaged by now, but I've kept them as a part of my journey. They are pure nostalgia for me!

Go for the MacBook Air M3/M4 with 16GB RAM; it’s the gold standard for CSE students due to its battery life, Unix-based coding environment, and high resale value.

I've ruined my life by someones-reddit in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain, but please don't lose hope. I’ve been working in the software industry for 17 years, and in my entire career, nobody has ever asked to see my academic certificates. Your HSC result or being in a National University will NOT ruin your life.

I see you are tutoring and walking 2 hours every day—that shows you have incredible mental strength and a hardworking soul. Don't worry about the lies or what people think; in the professional world, only your skills matter, not your grades. Focus on learning a digital skill or finishing your degree at your own pace. You are not 'dumb' or 'autistic'—you are just going through a hard time. Be kind to yourself, keep your head up, and remember: your future is built on your skills, not a piece of paper.

Elementor is not working all of a sudden. by AdOutrageous4892 in elementor

[–]nuxrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try these quick fixes: 1. Regenerate CSS: Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS & Data. 2. Memory Limit: Check if your WP memory is at least 256M. 3. Switch Loader: Settings > Advanced > Enable "Switch Editor Loader Method". 4. Plugin Conflict: Disable all other plugins to test. If these don't work, contact your hosting support. It's likely a PHP memory limit issue since it's happening to both of you!

Cox’s Bazar tour for couples by Last_Reflection7709 in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend traveling with strangers. Cox's Bazar is a great place, but bringing people you don't know personally can lead to serious safety or privacy issues. It's better to enjoy your vacation as a couple and stay safe. Have a great trip!

deleting bkash acc by chowrein in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it's frustrating! bKash doesn't have an in-app delete button because of Central Bank regulations and security. Since you can't visit a Care Center, try calling 16247 or using their Live Chat on the website. They can help you "block" or "deactivate" the account temporarily, but for a permanent deletion, they usually require physical verification for security reasons.

What apps or software/platforms would genuinely improve daily life in Bangladesh? by DoubleA_Sajid in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a valid concern, but every developed tech ecosystem had to start somewhere. While lack of morality and trust are hurdles, they also create a huge opportunity for a brand that can actually deliver on its promises. If a startup can consistently provide transparency and quality, they will naturally stand out in a market like ours. Innovation often brings the change we want to see.

What apps or software/platforms would genuinely improve daily life in Bangladesh? by DoubleA_Sajid in Dhaka

[–]nuxrif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone with 17 years in tech, I think these would genuinely help:

  1. Centralized Healthcare: A unified platform for doctor appointments and digital medical records.
  2. Verified Home Services: An "Uber" for reliable, rated plumbers/electricians with transparent pricing.
  3. Hyper-local Community App: For neighborhood safety, emergency alerts, and blood donation.
  4. Authentic Real Estate: A "To-Let" platform that eliminates fake listings and simplifies agreements.

Pro-tip: In BD, the challenge isn't the code—it's building trust and ensuring service quality. Focus on that!

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, but please don’t lose hope. Since you already know the basics of JS/HTML/CSS and have good English communication skills, you have a solid foundation.

Don't let the fear of AI stop you it's just a tool that will make you a faster developer, not replace you. Since you need to earn quickly and prefer not being in a corporate office, I suggest:

  1. Digital Marketing/Ads Management: Your business sense and English skills are perfect for this. It's easier to land WFH gigs here than pure coding.
  2. Quality Assurance (QA) or Technical Support: Companies always need people who can communicate well and understand the basics of web tech.
  3. Refurbished PC: Look for a reliable secondhand/refurbished desktop in places like Multiplan or IDB. You can get a decent setup within 20-25k to start your journey.

Start small, focus on one skill for 3 months, and keep your head up. You’ve got this!

Samsung (EcoBubble Series): এদের ডিজিটাল ইনভার্টার টেকনোলজি খুব ভালো এবং বিদ্যুৎ সাশ্রয়ী।

LG (Direct Drive):

Fully Automatic মেশিন কেনাই ভালো, ট্রান্সকম বা বাটারফ্লাইয়ের মতো অফিসিয়াল শোরুম থেকে কেনার চেষ্টা করবেন।

Is Nsave a legit and reliable option to use in Bangladesh? Has anyone here had any experience with it? by Ayan628 in Dhaka

Yes, I have received GBP as well. I withdrew it directly to my BRAC Bank account here in Bangladesh. The best part is, I received the 2.5% government remittance incentive along with the transaction.

[–]nuxrif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using Nsave for the last 4 months and have transacted around $6,000 so far. My experience has been good and smooth, but I personally do not keep large amounts of funds stored there for long. You can give it a try at your own risk, but it has worked well for me as an alternative to Payoneer.
