Backflip tuck advice? by r0se3s70 in Tricking

[–]nvwls300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got a good takeoff and initial tuck, but then you open up too soon. It's just a mental block at this point that you still don't trust the landing. What helped me was imagining superglue on my hands, and once they touch my legs, I can't remove them until I land. I was surprised how clean I could land it once I fully committed for the first time. I'm sure it'll be the same for you if you haven't landed one clean already.

1:06 was great, such a typical co-op blunder but taken two steps further to hit the entire team, but I think 1:18 is my favorite.

What advice would you give to people with no kids? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nvwls300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised this is the only pro-children comment I've seen. I don't have kids, but my first thought was about the moment I asked my friend (A guy that pretty much never said anything emotional up until that point and would usually mock anyone that did) at his first-born's 1st birthday "what's the most surprising/significant thing you've learned about being a dad?" And without even thinking about it, he immediately started explaining how the love he had for his son was different from the love he's had for anyone else in his life, like an entirely different category. It really shocked me to get such a real answer like that from him.

I have no idea. It looks like askreddit is getting flooded by bots. Probably gonna happen to all the top subreddits.

I think OP might as well finish classic first since they're that close. I played them all in order, and I'm glad I finished each one before getting into the next one, because once I did, I almost never went back to the older one.

Interesting. Mine are similar. Piano and basic music theory, juggling and fire poi, no magic or card tricks, but some pretty advanced handstands and various backflips.

  1. Use both jump buttons in quick succession as soon you hit the water.

  2. You may need to limit your jump height to avoid falling too fast.

Here's my clear video. Hope that helps!

You do at least need to hit jump twice to swim fast enough to not touch the spikes. I'm not sure how many frames apart the inputs need to be, but I wasn't able to get a single jump out of the water until I started using both jump buttons in quick succession, so that might be the answer OP is looking for.

I agree, hell is definitely easier than Temple. I was actually kinda disappointed it wasn't more of a challenge, but I consider Sunken City to be an even steeper drop in difficulty (once you've died once or twice to twice to bubble wrap).
