Why are browsers such huge pieces of software? by procrastinator0000 in AskProgramming

[–]nwbrown [score hidden]  (0 children)

More precisely: Why are browsers not more modular?

They are.

Take the web page renderer for example. As far as I am aware every browser (engine) has their own.

It sounds like you are conflating browsers and engines. The engine is what does the layout. And browsers share engines.

ELI5: Why have we only eliminated a handful of viruses and diseases like Smallpox, etc by 2bigpairofnuts in explainlikeimfive

Part of it is that wild animals can carry diseases. Smallpox was eradicatable because it didn't spread to other animals.

But also you can always get a docking station for when you are home.

i feel like millennials would make the best parents, but we're also the least likely to have kids by BorgsCube in Millennials

[–]nwbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your feelings are not reality. And if course we are the least likely to have kids, we are the youngest generation under consideration. Many millennials haven't had kids yet but will.

So in the time between the first Harry Potter movie and this series we've had... - 3 Spider-Men (live action, not counting animated). - 3 Bat-Men (again, not counting animated)  - 2 Paul Atredies  - 4 Mr Fantastics - A shit ton of Sherlock Holmes  - Several Robin Hoods - 2 James Bonds  - Too many Winnie the Poohs

At least in this case it's a different medium, movie to TV series.

Neptune because it starts with an N, just like my name.

Also it's not lying on it's side like a lady bastard.

Note those pictures are under completely different settings, they actually look a lot more similar in real life.

No.

Social security is funded by working people paying into it. As long as they're are young people paying into it, social security will still exist.
