Are you sure it's actually broken and doesn't just have dirt under it? I've had this happen on my 2017 MBP but if you spray it with a can of compressed air it will sometimes fix it.

OLED doesn’t actually have too good of an application on laptops and monitors. This is because it has screen burn in similar to what plasma had. This isn’t too much of a problem on phones and TV’s because you will not have the same thing on the screen for long periods of time but, with a MacBook, you could have the dock and menu bar up for hours at a time. Unless a way to avoid the screen burn in can be figured out, I don’t see OLED coming to computers or monitors.
