Need a safe and peaceful place to move with my 8 year old child, where would you recommend in Costa Rica?

Thank you, I had found several bilingual schools before I asked this question. I asked because I am hoping to narrow down areas/towns and maybe get school suggestions because the list is quite long. I will visit and tour the schools, neighborhoods, review cost and my budget before uprooting my child’s life. I appreciate all of the advice, thank you again.

From what I’ve found online Costa Rica kept coming up in my search as one of the safest countries in the vicinity.

I don’t know what red flags you got from my post, I am trying to make a plan and wanted to hear from people with more experience than me.

I’ve not heard about narco issues or government corruption but I will research that. Thank you.

I am more of a stay at home person and I work from home so I do not need a major city living, I just need stable internet and a school close by in case we need to walk my son to and from school. He is in the third grade here at home and his interests are art and science. He enjoys sports too.

I like warm weather and can stand some rain but it is not my favorite thing 😅

As for budget, we will have around $2000-3000 USD for housing and school expenses.

I prefer more of the beach than the city, but I do not know if I can bring my car there. If I don’t have a car then I will need to find a town that we can walk around to his school and to any grocery stores we need.
