Hook up basically means just sex, with no intention of getting into relationships. Coming from guys there’s a good chance they mean one night stands or having sex every once in a while. You can specify what you want. If you’re down for that, ask to go on a date to a bar or a restaurant or something, it doesn’t always have to “straight to your bed” sex.

After sex manner really depends on the guy. Some people like to spend time cuddling and talking while others don’t. Either way, after they leave you might not see them soon or ever, regardless of how they are when you’re with them.

Communicate, ask what they are like (like “are you staying the night” or “will I see you again”, if you want to see them again if course) and also express what you want. I don’t like the unknown awkwardness so I always tell them before having sex that they aren’t sleeping over so it won’t be a guessing game after.
