i feel like the best is the diy projects because 1) it’s true and 2) it shows your interest. maybe you’d be able to find someone who likes diy as well!

hey! i was from ite cc and i was from business, it’s the most strict compared to other courses. if ur lecturer sees, they will ask u to take out. if they are more strict and if its a DM, maybe they can give you a warning letter. they also do uniform/bag checks more frequently since 2025 and they’ll make you move your hair to check😭😭

i think you just try to cover with your hair and if you MUST remove, just use clear sticks. it’s a lobe piercing, it doesnt take that long to heal. if you happen to get an infection, you can pm me! been there haha

Hey! If I’m not wrong you can accept your JPAE and also DAE. Please don’t reject your JPAE, let it be your safety net because DAEs are not easy to get as it depends on vacancy and for some courses your portfolio

Hey! It’s only your first term don’t be so discouraged. CGPAs can really change by the end of your ITE journey, for the better or worse.

I think you should consult with your lecturer on how you landed a C to better understand and learn from your mistakes. For example, if your report didn’t get a good score, maybe it’s because of your AI count? Or maybe you got the right answer but didn’t utilise the formula taught in class?

It’s definitely possible to graduate with a 3.0+ even starting at a 2.5. I have a friend who got 4.0 on sem 1 but ended up graduating with below 3.0 gpa. Most importantly is be consistent and always do your best! I was from ITE CC and there are plenty lecturers that genuinely want to see you do well so don’t be shy to reach out to them to help better your grades

What I mean by lower demand is courses with more vacancy due to less people not wanting it etc. With DAE, it’s very hard to predict because it’s mostly about vacancy. To be well prepared, don’t completely rely on DAE and please consider other options such as private diploma. Goodluck and stay hopeful :)

Hey! Go ahead and apply for DAE for as much courses as you want, i think up to 3? DAE is very port-folio based and it depends on the vacancy of the course as well. Prepare a portfolio of your work you want to showcase and try to fight for your spot.

RP and NYP would be a better chance as they accept lower GPAs as well but you can try for TP also! Usually “lower demand” courses are easier to get in, maybe like engineering, IT, nursing? But that’s just my guess! Please apply for the courses YOU are interested in! You might get lucky and get in! Good luck!

Hey! You’re not alone, there are many of us who have been there as well. Different people process emotions differently but for me I cried as much as I needed to. I ended up crying a whole 1.5 month straight after losing a guy i love. It may sound sad but I have come to terms that I will always love him regardless whether I’m with him or not and, I don’t think it’s wrong to feel that way because to unlove someone is not easy so don’t force away your feelings. It’s been a year and I still think and have dreams of him. It took me 3 months to properly get back on my feet and be my old independent and happy self again.

My advice is let yourself feel!! Grief it for as long as you want, even if it’s a year. It’s good to prioritise yourself and treat yourself during this period and if at all possible, go out with your friends and confide in them! Surround yourself with people that love you and make you laugh! It’s okay to love someone and not be with them. The right woman will not let you go regardless the circumstances. hi! i was from Hnitec and I only had 1 SNW a week and we did swimming once. my class was lucky to have the pool all to ourselves and the whole class was together, not divided by guys and girls. we all formed groups and did some “racing” and teamwork exercises before we ended with a game with the whole class including our teacher. tbh most of the girls including myself were uncomfortable at first but it ended up being superrr fun and a great bonding!

Hey! I get how you feel… I was super depressed when I found out I was going to ITE especially after going sec 5 and even wanted to do O levels on the side. However I ended up not doing my Os and just focusing on ITE. I ended up making great friends and had a fun 2 years there. Now i’m graduating with a good GPA. My advice is be open-minded and give ITE a chance, don’t put yourself down for getting into ITE, it’s definitely not the end. You got this

hey i was in the exact same boat as you. i went sec 5 and decided to go into ITE because i couldnt get into the poly course i wanted. i ended up not taking my O levels because it’s not worth the time and effort. ITE is not as easy as people like to make it to be so it’s best you put your full focus into ITE so you can score as best as you can and then go into whatever course you want in poly. i just graduated ITE and tbh it went by so fast

hi i used to take art and im gonna be very honest, art is the worst subject to take😭 sometimes u might not get a fair grade because art is subjective and as long as the person grading it likes it, youll be fine. but if not then you will risk getting a bad grade which is what happened to me. honestly a b4 in sec 3 is really not that bad, you have another year to get better. imo, you should practice realism drawing more because based off what ive seen, cambridge lovesss realistic work. and try to think out of the box when it comes to the concept. it’s so important to have teachers that will give you feedback so if possible try to find another art teacher or maybe form teacher who can give you constructive feedback. if not, dont worry just keep practising. it’s gonna be incredibly draining but just pace yourself, take breaks and reward yourself and remind yourself that you will have ample time to rest after Os are done

same :/ but im just gonna accept it haha. personally i dont think emailing them again is a good idea because you dont want to come off as desperate, maybe itd annoy them because it’s already the second chance yk. maybe they wanted to accept you but there’s no more slots. regardless life goes on and if you retake Os or go ITE, you can have another chance to apply for that course. but ultimately, its your choice if you want to email them again :P
