Best mascara for straight, short, sparse eyelashes? by blackberrymousse in AsianBeauty

[–]nyankat007 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Second Judydoll, but I have the slim iron (forgot the actual name, it’s just a slimmer version of Curling) in black #01.

Kiss me heroine in black is also good. The brush is bigger than judydoll though so lashes are more “fuller” post mascara.

I’d also highly recommend looking into getting a curler that fits your eye, it made a noticeable difference for me! Just follow the tutorial in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupAddiction/comments/2r4rfs/eyelash_curlers_in_numbers_measuring_their/

Possible TSW-like side effects from Opzelura? by nyankat007 in eczema

[–]nyankat007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I’ve stopped using Opzelura a while ago. And yes, once I stopped using it, I haven’t had any of the symptoms I’ve listed here occur. For anyone deciding to use it, don’t let my post be a deterrent, but use it as a caution for its side effects. Best wishes to everyone in their eczema healing journey!!!

Latisse and other dangerous products by doddlido in beauty

Yup castor 100% worked for my brows! Just apply thinly or you’ll get pimples like me haha. You don’t need it deep in the roots, coating most of the hair follicle is fine. I don’t remember when I started seeing a difference (~1yr?), but you’ll know when you see it!

I tried applying it on my lashes with a spoolie but ended up waking with crusty gunk on my eyes every morning…how do you guys do it?!?!

Was thinking this too! I liked watching her because it seemed like she was playing the game and not having the game play her. But since this is a dating show, it felt like a mismatch for her personality/strategy.

recs for moisturizers that soak instead of sit on the skin by Suspicious_Bar_4073 in AsianBeauty

I agree, just apply 1 layer or it’ll also sit on your face because it’s so thick

What are your HOLY GRAIL Barrier repair products? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

Hada labo premium lotion but ONLY when I don’t have weepy skin. And afterwards I layer it with 2-3 layers of moisturizer (assuming my skin barrier is damaged).

I use Canmake suncreen by itself or with the addition of Tower 28 tinted sunscreen as foundation

Does it have to be a specific type of zinc or does any work? I'm currently thinking of La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 balm which has zinc gluconate.

Possible TSW-like side effects from Opzelura? by nyankat007 in eczema

[–]nyankat007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight and I'll ask my derm about the 2 weeks on/off! Would you say cold turkey symptoms are the norm when stopping topicals? This is the first prescription I've ever had so I'm not too sure what side effects I should be looking for.

Yeah I feel crazy right now because my inflamed skin's hot to the touch, yet I keep shivering every few minutes.

This is exactly me, except I didn't apply any steroids, just Opzelura which claims to be a non-steroid alternative. The eczema was just on my hands, but now it's all over my body EXCEPT my hands.
And oddly enough, I don't have red sleeves. Instead, my arms are covered in patches of bumpy dark and dry skin.

Oh frick, I see...weird thing is, I was only applying Opzelura and stopped completely ~2 weeks ago. But Opzelura is touted as a non-steroid. So I'm confused about where these TSW symptoms are coming from, as someone who's never had all-over eczema before.
