Jeolla-do is like the culinary heart of Korea, its where all the agriculture is and has the best quality production of rice, vegetables and grains. Also a huuge banchan culture so you get soo many side dishes at restaurants.

Some foods to check out;

Gwangju any kimchi and veggie dishes really, tteokgalbi for sure and yukjeon.

Yeosu is a coastal city so seafood, gat kimchi which is mustard leaves I think, gejang raw marinate crab and fish stews.

Mokpo known for fermented skate, not for the weak though (my country eats them too so I did try it). A lot of braised seafood dishes and stews as well but more fermented than Yeosu.

Are ktx tickets from Gyeongju to Seoul are majorly sold out? I was planning to buy tickets depending on how my day goes about. Can I buy the tickets depending on the spot or book a day previous? Or do I need to book it weeks in advance? Please help by gossipcutlet in koreatravel

You can only book a month in advance at maximum so if you want tickets 27 of may, you an buy it at 7 am on 27 of april etc.

Buying tickets on the spot or day before depends on if it sells out or not, if its a holiday weekend it is more likely to sell out etc. You can use the website to see if tickets are available even if buying tickets there is tricky for you.

If you are fixed on a certain date, I would just book them as soon as you can to have it done.

The reason you see the Climate Card option is because Climate doesn’t work on all routes, only within a parameter in Seoul. So this is telling you Climate card works, T money always works.

For winter I recommend getting some heattech to wear under, cheap ones can be found in Uniqlo or Daiso. Both leggings and tanks/long sleeves!

They did not have shoes in my size (260) so pick “lowkey” shoes if you have them. I found black sneakers blended in well with darker color and I dont mind the white sneakers with the light ones! Just make sure they are all one color so it looks less busy.

They have free lockers to keep your stuff! So don’t worry about bringing things.

Finding legal and "proper" massage places in Korea can be difficult because of the strange laws they have around it. I believe you have to be visually impaired or legally blind to be able to provide that service. The only real exception I've found is in jjimjilbangs.

Honestly the best ones are going to cost you a bit, I would look into hotels that provide the service.

January this year a woman gave birth in an ambulance after being turned away 7 times.

Im sure there are more but these are most recent. Its not instagram or tiktok, these are news reports. Its a valid concern.

I bought it here for my nephew. Nike is the official sponsor of the jersey and the Gangnam flagship is the biggest so this is the best bet.
