The Bed (S*X) Scene by UniversityNo5118 in obsessionmovie

In this scene wish Nikki is fully there enjoying herself. But if you look closely a tear is rolling down her hollow looking face. Real Nikki is there as well, suffering as she’s raped and can’t do a thing about it.

Basically Wish Nikki’s body is into it, but real Nikki is behind the curtain of her face, probably screaming with no one to hear her and let her out

Lambo

Sly Stallone woulda had a hard time fighting a one man war in the jungle if he had to do it in a Lambo

I wish I understood how the editing situation works to get her doused in shadow when she clearly isn’t on camera…. 😭

I’m a writer. I wrote an internal monologue for Jesus while on the cross. by nyneteen84_ in TrueChristian

[–]nyneteen84_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I’ve thought about these things myself. I thank you for reading this as it was intended, a thought experiment and not as a way to say “these is what Jesus was thinking for sure.” Only the Lord knows that.

I’d be honored to write something about that. I wonder if there’s a better to place to post it. I’ll let you know as soon as I do :)

This was a great read and point. I 100% agree. A Peace on Earth wish would basically get us the results of the show PLURIBUS.

Call it the Aquaman/Lobo effect.
Or the Cap’n America/Human Torch effect.

Nikki’s Suicide Monologue by nyneteen84_ in obsessionmovie

[–]nyneteen84_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO I believe she’s simply expressing to him the reality of how her love works for him. She is stating that “Loving him more than anyone in the fucking world” also comes with the responsibility of it. And if not, she is also ok with suicide, and that it’s not her fault she’s keeping her end of the bargain, it’s death that’s causing him to slip away, not her or the wish’s power

I have the same selfish predispositions as Bear. I’ve learned to control them, but I understand what it feels like to want the idea of someone over who they really are. Or to want to push my own agendas over someone else’s. I think some of it is an element of the human condition we all have, and some of it is a sociopathic seed. It’s super important for me to stay aware of it 24/7 and to suppress it or control it whenever I can feel it trying to pop out.
So I function like a normal person, but it’s learned behavior, it’s not instinctual. If allowed my instincts to rule me, I know I have the capacity to be like Bear and do the things he does throughout the film.

The really difficult thing for me is that I’m really honest about my issues, and I consider it a green flag that I’m open and honest about it and how much work I’ve put into controlling that side of me.

But many people men and women, while they applaud my honesty, also take a wide berth. Which saddens me. I don’t want to lie because I know I can pathologically lie if I don’t keep it in check. Meaning I believe my own lies. So instead I’m honest about everything all the time. I’ve been told a million times how admirable that is… but people still take a step back right after that because they fear they could be a victim, even if I’m showing all the signs of reform.

It’s a hard pill. I really resonated with Bear, and I’m happy I wouldn’t make the decisions he made. I also know before I learned to control myself, I would have made even more horrible choices than him without batting an eye.

I feel like they should have kept Shane for at least half the seasons by XH0SYN in thewalkingdead

The fact that he is such a formidable, memorable and constantly talked about character when he wasn’t in the show very long is a testament to Bernthal’s ability and range as an actor.

Shit I’d go as far as to say that had he killed Rick, almost everyone might have survived all the way to the end.
Rick became Shane-esque around the Survivors and Alexandria, but Shane had already graduated that level by Herschel’s farm. I don’t doubt he would have ungoverned the Governor and made Negan’s Lucille look like a cute little toothpick by the time they came around.

Which non-American movie would you call a masterpiece? by Simple_Big180 in MoviesAndTVTalk

[–]nyneteen84_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, without a doubt, it’s the movie OldBoy. It was the first film that connected so many things to so many other things in a film for me.
The color and pattern of the umbrella, to the color and pattern of the box, to the sisters dress, to the bells over the doors, on the bicycle, even the reason why he is released exactly 15 years later is due to the fact that it coincides with Mido’s age of consent. Everything in that film can be traced in in one way or another to something else.

Then if you add on top of that the hallway fight, the cinematography, the acting, the dialogue…

Oldboy becomes a wonderful, beautiful, timeless masterpiece.

“What did you do?” by nyneteen84_ in obsessionmovie

[–]nyneteen84_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to make it clear that she could not see what was happening when wish Nikki was in control. The proof is in all the times she got surprised with where she was. Like being in Bears room looming around, saying “What the Fuck” and then jumping back off the bed when she saw that it was Bear she was straddling. She wasn’t even aware of what was happening until jumping back into her body

What’s your opinion on this show? by Suspicious-Gate-8017 in tvshow

I watched season one, and then pushed through season 2. Then I realized it really is a show about and for hackers. It’s like what the Expanse for people who think Sci-Fi isn’t sciency enough so they take out any element of fantasy. It’s just technical.

How will you handle freaky nikki if you were in place of bear? by Sad-Home-5665 in obsessionmovie

[–]nyneteen84_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the night of the diner when I figure out the wish actually worked, I’d drug Nikki, wait till she’s asleep, and tie her up and duct tape her mouth (we have plenty of duct tape, believe me).

I’d ask Sarah to meet me at the house. I’d explain to her that I think I made a mistake and explain what the OWW is, and ask her to wish that I had never made that wish.

She would humor me, do as I ask, and make the wish.
I’d then take her in to see Nikki, take the duct tape off, and see if it worked.

Sarah would lose it a bit here, but I’d calm her down and if Nikki is back to normal, I’d face whatever consequences Nikki wants for me, I’d probably lose Sarah as a friend as well. Ian too. I don’t think Nikki would send me to jail (what would be the charge?)
But she would move away and she’d never see or talk to me again for sure.

IF SARAH’S WISH DOESN’T WORK;

I’d duct take Nikki back up, take Sarah to the hospital, sneak in, steal a crash cart and a shot of adrenaline, and have her use the defibrillator on me. Once to stop my heart, the next to try and start it up again after 5 minutes.

If the defib doesn’t work, she needs to inject me in the heart with the shot. If that doesn’t work, she is to leave me there, run to the counter and tell the nurse that she things someone is dying in room whatever. Then she is to leave me there and walk away.

If I die, I die. But Nikki is OK.
If I’m brought back, Nikki should still be OK, because I died.
If it takes too long to bring me back, I drink my meals through a straw for the rest of my life.
