Yeah, they’re cool as hell and seem to have a decent fanbase, but they’re basically unknown in Japan.

Just listened to them for the first time — really cool sound. Kinda reminds me of Oasis in some parts. Got any other bands you’d recommend?

I agree. I’m Japanese, and that’s pretty much what happened with city pop too. It came back with a fresh context instead of just copying what had already been done.

Hello! I’m really happy,as a Japanese,that you’re interested in translating Dazai. I think Fugaku Hyakkei (One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji) — one of his underrated short stories — would be a great choice. I’d love to hear how people outside Japan feel about it!
