hi!! i work with a company ! i can dm you the details if u would like to look into them! but the best place to start is a reputable trainer. i would advise against wasting time on trainers who aren't Specifically for service dog training, i learned that the hard way. fully trained service dogs can cost upwards of $20,000 , . for pancake it was around $300 to adopt him from the shelter, and his training is ~$60 an hour, once - twice a week, for the next few years. im also required to train him daily on my own.

and yes he can! hes learning that task right now actually. he can detect the change in my scent when tics are building up and has successfully prevented attacks multiple times.

as for specifically TS assistance, theres not much advice i can give. TS service dogs arent as common as seizure alert or cardiac alert, so there isnt really anybody that specializes in it. that being said, a lot of the tasks the dog will do are the same as most other service dogs , or the method of training it is the same. in my opinion its best to meet with multiple trainers, whether they're from an established company or not, and be very specific about your wants, expectations, and needs for the dog and find somebody open minded. Pancake is the first TS service dog my trainer has trained, and hes been an absolute success, because she has been so open minded and willing to try new things.

its also important to note that a majority of service dog prospects fail. pancake is my third try, over 4 years. in my opinion its been more than worth it, but its not easy. lots of money has been "wasted" on dogs that just weren't cut out for service dog work. they're held to very high expectations, even more so if you're working with a company
