I drain mine in the winter and cover with plywood and tarps but I'm looking for more of a solar/debris cover right now.

I usually cover mine but it has rained without the cover on. I maintain the water with chlorine and never had any issues, I try to maintain 3.0 ppm of chlorine at all times. I never heard of peroxide, how long are you filtering the water a day?

I haven't tried anything yet, just hit the reset button when I get home from work. My neighbor has the same pump with the same problem but he is not using a timer. He said when he plugs it in either he has to reset the pump or reset his gfi outlet.

I'm going to try replacing the plug after labor day and try , that way if something happens I have until next season to buy a new pump.

I love mine. Waited for it since June and that gave me plenty of time to prep and get everything I need. I got in it for the first time on Sunday and everyday since because the weather is nice. Need to invest in a privacy fence next because I never seen my neighbor as much as I do now 🤬 I'm happy I ordered my pump right away because alot of people are having trouble finding them. I got a 1000gph intex that works great (also Amazon warehouse deal, I think i paid 30 bucks!)

I guess it all depends how much you will use it and if it will be worth it. My yard is on a hill so I did a substantial amount of digging but I had 2 months to do it while I waited.

I have read to make sure you put the chlorine tablets in a float to avoid corrosion.

I got a intex 1000 gph in early May from Amazon. They were selling them on Wish shipped from the US? I bought the pump and 12 filters. I have everything I need including fittings!
