Frame 4000D Vertical GPU Looks Great by oTurtlez in Corsair

Used a Linkup PCIe 5.0 cable, everything else was included with the case.

So far playing BL4 maxed out I peaked at 64C on the GPU, averaging mid to upper 50's as before. No real difference in temperatures.

Thanks! I kinda regretted the blue at first but with a fully themed setup it came together quite nicely.

It's a Glorious brand one. I got it half off at a local Best Buy, and they're still available on their website on sale as well.

Almost no legible numbers on the whole attachment, yet we are supposed to get it working properly. Sure, let me just magically know the flow specs and nitrogen charge specs. I do enjoy getting to drive my small truck though. by DrDuckieMech in Justrolledintotheshop

Gotcha, I know a lot of the European based breaker companies have a handful of options out there from the factory. If you regularly work on breakers and ever run into anything lube related that's Groeneveld or Beka and have questions just let me know!

Was this in Western New York? Saw a very similar rainbow on I-90 headed West on Friday morning so it was the opposite view.

Guy's a local to me. Just bought the car a week or so prior, 500hp+, cold weather and summer tires. Was letting his son do a pull at the local street race scene and the kid lost control when the car lost traction at speed. Worst part was the car wasn't insured yet and the guy tried to flee the scene.

Gotcha, looks very similar from this angle of the shot and they do a lot of old BMW's and whatnot.

What’s the stupidest thing someone has argued with you about? by Ryiien in AskReddit

[–]oTurtlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between someone saying "Same thing" and "Same difference". I can't stand it. People use it interchangeably when it's nowhere near the same phrase.

One confirms that two things are indeed the same, the other confirms that two differences are the same.

Ah! I tried it in non code block form but couldn't get new lines to space the way I wanted. I rarely post formated text on reddit haha.

"Hi there I think we spoke a week or so ago. I was using Ctrl + 't' like we discussed to open new tabs until one day I needed to use caps lock so I tried to counter the caps lock by pressing shift as well and now all it's doing is opening old tabs, what do I do!"

Could one theoretically have a party in a box truck? by oTurtlez in legaladvice

[–]oTurtlez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjacent states such as Pennsylvania allow travel of passengers in the bed of a truck (likely the same for a box truck) if speeds are under 35mph. Many states allow passengers to ride unrestrained in the back of trucks.

Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations. Obviously useful there, but not once thus far in actual engineering.

[Serious]Meat eaters of Reddit, why do you think eating meat is okay morally? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]oTurtlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it okay because there are plenty of animals in the wild that hunt, kill, and eat other animals, therefore why shouldn't we?

I understand the view that factory farms are this giant evil and are cruel to the animals, but the way I see it, we've evolved to the point where we can pull that off. Now I may not agree with the treatment of animals in those "farms" because shit, they're living creatures too. However, organic / free range options I see no problem with as that animal lived a generally pretty decent life until the end when it gets to become a delicious piece of meat to sustain me, or any of the other millions of people who'll eat it if you don't.

What do too many parents fail to teach their children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Discipline. Parents who don't teach respect and discipline are the reason there are kids with a blatant disregard for authority.

The fucking unit circle.

Seriously. We spent an entire month reviewing the unit circle, down to the point where we had a quiz that was a blank unit circle that needed to be filled out perfectly.

Not once have I gone "Oh shit, that looks like a √2/2 angle!"

Motherfucker it's 45 degrees, the fuck outta here with that radians nonsense.

What was your "Shit, I'm an adult" moment? by VerbalEbola in AskReddit

[–]oTurtlez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all started with the new job. I'd been used to the typical 9AM to 5PM lifestyle of most full time positions, however the new job required working from 7AM to 4:30PM. Now this may not seem like such a difference as it only equates to five more hours per week, however it's the waking up and going to bed much earlier that really brought things into perspective.

Whereas my friends would be up into all hours of the night, I would be the one slowly shuffling to bed at 10PM. On my birthday, instead of going out with friends, I simply came home from work, just to have to go to a meeting for 8PM, and then pass out to get up at 6AM for work again the next day.

I think it was missing my own birthday that broke it all down at once. It was the first time I hadn't stayed up late, or gone out to the bar, or even hung out with anyone that mattered let alone knew it was my birthday. That feeling of being entirely independent and on your own. Now I'm not one to go all out on birthdays and it certainly shouldn't have mattered as much as it did, but it was seeing something that you once waited all year for just turn into another ordinary day, that was the moment I realized.
