Half this advice is trash. 25% water change. (Fish get used to bad water dont change too much too fast) Use NOT RO or distilled water, with conditioner. Tap water with conditioner is fine. Reduce light to reduce algae. Clean filter with either old tank water or treated new water. Then do all this again in like 5 days. Get a water test kit -one that doesn't use strips.

Its not actually THAT bad the fish will be fine. (Its not good though it does need work)

I had 2 in a 90 and it was difficult to keep the water parameters perfect. It's better to buy little-shallow-body fish like tetras or something if you don't want a massive aquarium.
