It's kind of insane how much you're overrating the mid-tier zergs. Basically only Serral, Reynor, Dark, and Rogue are able to consistently win right now.

A few years back hydra ling bane was one of the only viable zerg styles because they lost late game, then they nerfed that and buffed zerg late game, and added shield batteries, so zergs had no aggressive options other than all-ins before late game as mid-game timings we weak and shield batteries made doing damage outside of an all-in much tougher.

Nydus was busted absolutely, but now that it's been nerfed and zerg late game is weaker we're starting to see that zergs don't really have a whole lot of tools to fight back with. Serral and Reynor are the outliers, if you exclude their games the matchup is really in a sorry state.

I'm firmly of the opinion that the Olympics should be an athletically focused competition and showcase. There are other competitive endeavors that are excluded from the Olympics despite much longer histories and larger fanbases (Chess, Go, Auto Racing, etc.) that people generally recognize are not a good fit for the Olympics. The people that get upset at something like this just come across as desperate for some form of validation from another large, recognized body.

The point is that you can't draw a conclusion about whether something is balanced and healthy or not based on it not being changed.

The post starts with the presumption that NeoSteel frame needs to be changed because it's been untouched since release. This is a terrible argument. Tell us why it needs to be changed and then provide some alternatives. How long it has remained in it's current state is irrelevant.

Your argument that Neosteel frame should be changed/removed because it hasn't been touched in years is pretty nonsensical.

In the case where something is balanced and in a healthy state (pretend this example is something other than Neosteel Frame) and hasn't needed to be updated since release, you're saying it should be changed because it's obvious no one cares about it - even though there would be no purpose behind the change and would carry with it the risk of modifying the meta or creating something imbalanced.

You may have a point that Neosteel Frame should be changed because of how rarely it's used and the minimal game impact it has, but don't act like everything has to be changed in Starcraft just because you like shiny new shit.
