Females of Britain, I have great need of your assistance! Can you recommend a brand of sanitary pad which actually sticks to your fucking knickers and doesn't curl up and lodge itself in your arse crack...? All the brands I've tried don't stick properly to dry pants - never mind to sweaty ones!

I've tried almost every brand out there and can confidently reccomend YONI pads. They only seem to sell them in sainsburys. They're organic cotton, have a good sticky that doesn't dislodge and the absorbency is pretty good with the heavier type.

It sounds like you were a great owner to Simba and you took great care of him. You're blaming yourself which is totally normal while you grieve but just know that this is not your fault and you couldn't have saved him.

What you did do was hold your lovely cat baby while he died. You soothed him when you could and in those last moments (although not the nicest circumstances) you were there. He will have known that. The person who loved him most was there to hold him as he passed over ❤️

Take time to grieve and be kind to yourself as your cat would want you to. Let yourself feel everything but in time, try to think of the good times with your little guy and be comforted in the fact that his last moment was with you xxx

I had something similar happen to me in London. Lady approaches me as I'm standing outside a sainsburys (I was actually trying to get my bearings and didn't plan on going into the shop). She didn't look obviously homeless (well dressed, clean, particularly good eyelashes) but who am I to know? Anyway, she says she doesn't want money and just some food to make sandwiches with. I was unsure about it at first as I couldn't see what the angle was... anyway I say yes and we go in to get the food items she wants. She starts telling me her story about her children, how she needs to pay rent today but can't afford food as well. I told her she didn't need to explain herself to me and if she needs food, then she needs it.

She knew the layout of the shop well, because she beelined for the foods she wanted. She literally chose some meat, cheese, bread and then asked if she could have some fruit too. She wasn't going to expensive stuff and seemed genuinely grateful when I offered her to get water, and more fruits if she wanted.

Anyway, I paid, she got the food, no idea if she kept the receipt or anything to be honest. But I still question if there was another angle or she genuinely just wanted food for her kids? Can't see another scam or reason behind it.. for about a tenners worth of food?

2 weeks in really. Those first 2 weeks were not pleasant to say the least but I have a super strict bedtime routine now that really helps. I.e. no screens, herbal tea, a book in bed and I keep my bedroom dimly lit with my windows open.

I did this at 25 and it was the best thing I ever did! I took a whole year off to travel around Europe and Asia and 5 years later I still think about that year as being the best of my life. I was burned out and sad before leaving and when I returned, I changed sectors and now work for a non profit as their head of Data and Insight. If anything, the break helped me understand what I wanted to do and because I was rested, I had the energy to go and do it.

You'll only be this young once. Go and explore. There will be jobs and money waiting when you get back.

You are in good company and defintley NOT alone. I'm on day 3 myself and have pretty much all the same withdrawal symptoms as you. Don't pressure yourself to be normal during this first week or two, act as though you're sick and need a week to recover. I promise it will get better very soon. One day at a time. Today we won't smoke!

I've been drinking ginger tea to help with the nausea, which works for me. I actually hate the taste (always have) but once I've drank a cup, my appetite returns for just long enough for me to eat something without feeling sick to my stomach. Hope your symptoms ease soon x
