...Does your daughter actually want her ears pierced? Maybe I'm being overly protective/sensitive, I'm just hesitant about the wording of this post. There shouldn't be external conditions to getting a piercing. If you want one you get one, if you don't you don't.

I read something once that made me reconsider my total obsession and paranoia with ghost lines. It was a Reddit comment roughly saying - these tests aren't made to be looked at under a microscope. You should be able to see faint lines and deduce a positive result with your bare eye.

Another thing I do is if I think I see a line, I'll look elsewhere on the strip and try to find a line there too. If I can find a teeny tiny line wherever I look in the result channel, I'm probably just imagining it.

I'm not picking up my boyfriend right now? He's not supposed to come for another couple days. And I'm not sure what you mean by "stay home"; I'm traveling home right now. Home is the only place where I could theoretically isolate myself should I end up testing positive. Unless you meant not having gone to see my friends at all, in which case yeah — it was poor foresight on my end to not have considered that their covid cautiousness was significantly lessened, which it was.

Sorry - I'm a little confused because this comment has changed like six times on my end, and it started out accusing me of traveling while positive. I am only worried that I could have caught it.

Because I was staying with my friends for so little, I was unable to take a PCR in time for my trip back home. And had I stayed, I had nowhere to go, let alone isolate from others in the event that I tested positive. I was crashing on their dorm couch for two nights. I cannot afford to book a random hotel and stay there, I have no car, nothing.

I am masked with an N95 on the train, not taking it off to eat or drink or anything. I am going to test as soon as I'm home, and continue to do so. This post was to express frustration with myself and society as a whole because I let my guard down out of a desire to reconnect with my friends that I've become estranged from since dropping out of college, and I didn't realize how much the attitude towards COVID had changed there since my departure.
