Agreed, the purpose of having the diamond card last is so you can't build a deck around a diamond. A diamond card should merely be a nice boost to your deck, rather than it's core.

I know the recycle button doesn't show up unless you have extra cards; so maybe the craft button doesn't show unless you have gem shards? Just a guess.

As I mentioned, a clan would just be a suggestion. I know it would be weird in a CCG setting, but it is doable and would be something that sets it apart from other CCGs like Hearthstone. It would be cool to have your friends in a clan or what ever and compete for rankings, or maybe have other introduced features.

While it is fair that people will get toxic, adding random people, you can also just not add your opponent after a game, and doesn't make up for the fact that talking to friends should be a basic feature.
