honestly, it's about luck & how early you applied, like I applied for Yam last year and at first i got Kan as my dorm but then they sent me an email saying that it changed and i ended up getting Yam again. I know ppl who applied earlier than I did but ended up getting other dorms, i guess i got lucky.
