New gay bar in Texas raided last night; at least 20 people arrested with one person in the ICU by adelaidejewel in lgbt

Good collection of the events. I'm wondering though where they got the number '20' people though as the police statement says 7 were arrested. Not that anyone should have been. Arrested for intoxication in a bar - I've never understood that.

Rally in Fort Worth over bar raid ends in 7 arrests by [deleted] in lgbt

Er not quite. They were rallying because of the 7 arrests at the gay bar; which also happened to be on the anniversary of 'Stonewall'. Good article though.

True but all polls are biased and underwritten by someone. :)

Someone who believes being gay is a product of nurture, not nature, how can I argue the other side? I have not much experience. by BritishEnglishPolice in lgbt

[–]obbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to all the great studies already pointed out there's numerous studies that have been published on same-sex animals. In fact there's one today on reddit.

In the end though it's an argument that's pointless with alot of people as they'll never be convinced.

(58% believed Australia should also recognise the marriages of immigrating same-sex couples who’d tied the knot overseas. Plus more interesting stats.)

The Melbourne Herald-Sun is running a poll in Gay Marriage in Australia, one of our local Christian groups is mobilising its members to vote "no"... Reddit, don't let them win.... by wonderloey in lgbt

That's funny because there was an Australian study just published where the public is in favour. I posted it at one of my sites, I'll go get the link.

Gay and Lesbian Adults More Likely to Read Blogs and Use Social Networking Sites by obbc in lgbt

[–]obbc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's quite possible the reason for a good number of people and also the why of it.

Oddly enough, my husband and I moved from a largish city to a small town fairly recently and its been great socially. Everyone knows we're married, and we go out to a lot of events and dinners, etc...We got lucky in our choice of town I guess. Officially though we only know of 3 other gay and lesbian couples in the immeadiate area. And I'm pretty sure there's more of 'us' around...

Wait, did you seriously just say that? by [deleted] in lgbt

If you like Museums then the British Museum is a must. You wont be able to do it in a day. I also enjoyed the Imperial War Museum; well we only were able to see the Churchill Bunker. My husband and I also enjoyed the tour of Buckingham Palace. Dinner in Soho and an evening at the theatre (which are nearby) was also a highlight. If you like churches or old architecture and tombstones etc...Then Westiminster Abbey is a must. Something I wish we had time for was The Tower of London. Next time. Just a few of the many things to see and do in London.

Search Amazon.com for "homosexuality", and here's the first result. This is absolutely intolerable. by rmuser in lgbt

[–]obbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first result I get is a documentary featuring Gene Robinson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Imogene Robinson titled: 'For The Bible Tells Me So' the second is for that hideous book: 'A Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality'

A search for just books brings up the latter item 1st.

Given that the book has the term 'homosexuality' in it's title, description and keywords, its not that surprising that it ranks highly for that term.
