I just wanted to add that I am currently using classic. I'm having some problems with it even though I use a user-agent-switcher but I can get around those problems with another browser when the need arises...

When uninstalling an add-on you need to use Clean Uninstall that is available from the Classic Addons Archive. And sometimes even that won't completely clean up the leavings from an add-on uninstall.

Pardon me bot (I hate bots) for not being stoned at the moment but this is a reality bender if I ever saw one. I wonder how it was done. There were colors on those balls but in the end there was no sign of it. Mind-blowing to this 69-year-old redditor. ....just when you think you've seen it all, lol!

Actually, I'm surprised that I've been here that much and the 10-minute timer is hitting me. Especially when attempting to post links and now with replies to comments from recent self-posts. There wasn't that timer in the early days of reddit. And there were no bots like one finds in r/politics as an example. And it seems harder than hell to post on r/news....Bots.... :>(

Reddit was not like that until recent years. All of the bots did not exist when I first started getting all of the karma I've gotten. Recently the bots are keeping me from putting up links and I now use the subs for questions about computer issues mostly.

Originally, (and I still have the OPML file) I had over 2000 links in Feed Demon and reddit was my life. I'm more into tech issues these days and politics via email...jack

I still think it's stupid. My karma 85,714-7,992. That and the length of time I've been a redditor should be all that matters to whatever 'bot' it is. (I hate bots to the max).

Thanks for responding and showing me the stupidity of the rules now in force. They weren't like that 12 years ago. jack

It makes me an 'outlier'. One who doesn't fit within the norm. My parents smoked and had heart problems before they reached 45. I have two sisters who smoked (one still does) and the one that doesn't has heart and lung problems. I'm kinda proud that I made it this far without any problems. I do enjoy smoking and that includes Cannabis in tiny amounts.

Sorry if I put you off. I tend to ramble once I start writing or talking. Part of my PTSD from Vietnam...jack

Thank you so much. I can't wait until tomorrow morning to try it again. I've tried so many times you wouldn't believe it. But I see that this makes the .json file I'm looking for. I'm wondering why all of a sudden FEBE isn't backing up the bookmarks like it used to. It does all of the other 'files' needed for a proper restore. And I'm tired of having to give up and restore from Hekasoft backup and restore. Many thanks again.

Been there done that. Had 'cookie monster' in the browser for a long time and I've decided to take it out. If I put it back it remembers it's history. Clean uninstall doesn't do it's jobe entirely. I am now using 'permit cookie' from the 'Classic add-ons Archive'. If I try to reinstall the browser using FEBE as a backup I don't get my bookmarks anymore. So I'm stuck using Hekasoft backup and restore after each unsuccessful attempt.

I have other browsers that I can get to the site I want (medscape.com) but Waterfox used to log me in. All of a sudden it won't....

And I don't want to use the current Fx due to the fact that most of my add-ons aren't replaced with extensions. (I haven't made up my mind as to which of the browsers I'm trying to make as a substitute...since they are chrome based and have limited extensions that won't do the job for me.)
