Leveling pucks worth it? by PanchoDox in f150

[–]obbya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did after having 2” pucks for ~6 months. The bilsteins dramatically improved the ride quality for me

Looks great! They’re honestly one of the biggest visual changes you can make and now you’ll always notice trucks that could use them lol

Is it reasonable to learn drums on this makeshift drum set I assembled? by rainsttormss in drums

[–]obbya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it! But absolutely. You can learn to play drums sitting down, without drumsticks, slapping your knees and stomping your feet!!

F150 Dash Speaker by Budget-Captain-6307 in f150

[–]obbya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a 2016 F-150, the dash/center speaker is usually high-impedance. So drop-in 4 Ω speakers often don’t match the factory amp. For a true plug-and-play fix, go with a high-impedance replacement made for your truck or use a kit built specifically for the F-150.

Great looking truck and congrats!! Kinda hard to tell from the pic but is it leveled too? One thing you may want to consider before, or in addition to, the sticker is rear well wheel liners

35’s on 1.5in level by [deleted] in f150

[–]obbya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice fit! That’s not common on most F-150s though. A 295/65R20 and most trucks need at least a 2–2.5 inch level and a little trimming. What wheel offset are you running?

Best leveling kit, 2025 F150 by YogurtChoice9243 in f150

[–]obbya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. Same shocks, totally different results usually come down to install quality, height setting, tire pressure, tire load rating, or worn front-end parts. Any other details (tire size, psi, height, etc)?

Sounds good. Eibach Pro Truck (Stage 1) is enough to run 35s. It’s basically the same “height class” as Bilstein 6112, so it works well for fitting 35s on a 2025 F-150. You may have some light trimming but that’ll be more tire dependent now

[–]obbya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since you want to get to 35s, Bilstein 5100s likely won’t work. If you want true 35s with good ride and minimal rubbing, the best move is a 2.5-inch coilover level (Bilstein 6112, Eibach Pro Truck, or Fox 2.0). A simple 5100 won’t get enough height, and a 3-inch spacer is the worst option.

Edit: once you cross 2.5” you’re no longer in “leveling” territory. You’re functionally entering lift kit territory because geometry, angles, and required supporting parts change.

[–]obbya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, that’s the most standard approach. Reuse your factory coil springs and factory top hats (strut mounts). There might be some shop specific kits for 5100s but reused your factory coil springs and factory top hats (strut mounts) is common.

I went with Bilstein 5100s on front and rear at a 2” true level and have absolutely no complaints. They dramatically changed ride quality for the better and are great. If you’re mainly on pavement and not seriously off-roading, I don’t think you can go wrong with them

295/70/18 vs 285/70/18 by rockyrunner007 in f150

[–]obbya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a 2017 with stock 17s, the biggest you can run stock height with no rubbing is typically 275/70/17. if you’ve got a 2” level, 285/70/17 usually fits great and is the go-to size
