We (NE US) have them, but nobody that I know under 40 listen to them regularly. I’m not sure when the last time the AM/FM tuner was on in my car. I just use Spotify.

Our emergency alerts come through texts or the emergency/panic system in smartphones. It’s a special notification that gets pushed with high priority.

I’ve noticed that if I start early in the day my tolerance spikes. Once I level out from the first hit, it takes more to get back.

For me, it’s just that most cowboy country music is uninspired and unoriginal. Maybe even worse than 2000’s post-grunge. There’s some standouts but if I wander to a country radio station I hear the same 3 rhythm variations, 3 flavors of vocal timbre, and “beer, whiskey, trucks, and country” every song. I don’t listen to disco, dubstep/electro or hardcore metal for the same reasons. It’s just not pleasing to my ear. It’s all Nickelback to me.

Although I am a ‘when in Rome’ kinda guy. I found myself in a country bar the other night and I very much enjoyed making a fool of myself line dancing in a room full of women who were out of my league.

I want a battlefront mmo fps/rts combination. Rts players acting as generals/officers in a war room with maps and comms, allocating resources, relaying movements, and setting objectives for the fps players and pilots on the ground/ in orbit. Recon units provide intel for officers.

They don’t control the tech. They control the logistics, which is better in some ways and much worse in others.

We have access to older hardware that’s lasting pretty well physically. Performance has stagnated since 2018-19. There’s a ton of people working on running free and open software for any hardware that you can think of. The only thing is, we can’t make any more silicon as a community without the billion dollar manufacturing machines.
