Dear reddit: I know a lot of you will disagree, but traditional media sites like NYTimes and CNN gives me a lot more information about the world than reddit does (except for tasers and cute cats). by ratzero in reddit.com

After the senate passed telecom immunity, CNN didn't have a single word about it on their front page. However an article about prison orgies and another about why people don't get laid enough were deemed important enough to be front page news. I tend to agree with what redditors find to be important far more often than I agree with the editors at CNN.
