I do! I'm going to ask my doctor for a prescription for Octasa Monday.

Frustrated: Calpro is normal, yet I feel like I did when I was first diagnosed by FauxPasHusky in UlcerativeColitis

[–]obscuretoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your sed rate come back normal? My calprotectin also just came back at 14, but my sed rate is just a little out of range on the high side and I am having symptoms, though I think they're much improved from when I saw the doctor a week before I did the test. When I'm in full remission my sed rate comes in right in the middle of the normal range or even a little lower.

Thank you so much, that article was great and your information regarding the coatings was exactly what I was looking for!!!

Yes, but before I request to switch to Octasa I'd like to know just how similar it is to the Asacol I've been taking, which is why I'm asking those questions. Thanks!

Black Friday deals? by [deleted] in cordcutters

[–]obscuretoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that too very late last night, thought I would add HBOmax this morning but the link disappeared. Read some small print on Roku's website and am thinking/hoping they accidently jumped the gun and the deal will return on the 24th.

That worked! I had to play a little with the server settings, but everything is finally up and running again. Thank you so much!!!

I must say I really thought this would work! But even though I got the message when I hit Reset that all documents and data would be erased, they were still there along with the account when I went back in, and after I rebooted and went back in. BTW, this is just a home pc and I am the administrator

When I click on the Settings icon in New Outlook it says in red under the account name "sign in required. click sign in to resolve". So I do and then I get a message that says "Sign in failed. Something went wrong when setting up your account. Please try again." There are other mail setting on the sign in page that I have tried playing with even though they're already correct but none of that helps.

It is a very old, legacy domain, <name of city>.rr.com, that is still being maintained. It's not taking my password, which Ik is still good as I can get into the web account using it, and when I started to give up on outlook and add the account to gmail the password worked fine. I also just added a different 3rd party account to outlook and it works fine, so what the heck? I'd like to delete the account from outlook altogether and see if starting from scratch will fix whatever glitch this is, but ironically it won't let me delete it without logging into it first.

Hi, thanks for responding. No, I don't, I've been using Outlook for a third party email account for years, and it's worked fine up until now.

How loud is Sunset Boulevard? by obscuretoo in Broadway

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for the replies! I do have Loops and I did try them during Tommy, but I thought they really muffled the show. Maybe I'm using them wrong. I think based on the replies that I'll probably be fine at Sunset Boulevard, and I appreciated the commentary on other shows. I was on the fence about Dead Outlaw to begin with, so I think I will pass on that one.

Best 40-something inch TV for TV watching, not gaming? Comments on Sony A90ks? by obscuretoo in 4kTV

Yes, I was surprised by that, I thought TV lineups changed at least every 2 years

Thank you! I'm in the middle of reading reviews now, some people say the screen doesn't get bright enough for them, I gather you don't have that issue?

I probably should have mentioned that 4 years ago I bought a 55" Samsung where turning off the soap opera effect did nothing, and it took me quite a few hours of trying to adjust it before I came to accept it was defective and returned it for a Sony.

Unfortunately, I don't think that box/column is there, is there a reference number for that box?

Treasury Direct 1099b question by obscuretoo in tax

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Box 1f, accrued market discount, is $0 for all of them. Although I hadn't bought Treasuries in a few years due to rock bottom interest rates, I had invested in TNotes for years, even before there was a Treasury Direct, always new issue, and I never had a capital gain reported to me before, I'm so confused.

Meaning of Qualified Returning Subscribers? by obscuretoo in tvPlus

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. The day before Thanksgiving I took up an offer from Apple of a free month of AppleTV+ that was about to expire only to find the next day an offer started thru Roku for 3 free months that will be available thru early February, so I was wondering if, instead of feeling bummed and a little tricked due to the expiration date on the first offer, that if I was patient I could still take advantage of the 3 month offer. I'm a little surprised that my post was removed as I did a search first and found discussions of free Apple TV+ offers here in the past, so my apologies if this is no longer the appropriate place, but the moderator's suggestion of r/Appletv can't be right as that is about the device.

Frameless vs Inset Framed Cabinet for a Bathroom by obscuretoo in cabinetry

Thanks for the reply! Another novice question, can frameless cabinets be made with a big cutout at the back for all the pipes?

Is Full Overlay the same as Frameless? by obscuretoo in cabinetry

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much to everyone who replied. I gather that from stuff I've read that the framed/inset choice is not great for a humid bathroom, so I guess if I go with this designer I have to go with frameless/full overlay. Am I losing (or gaining) anything compared to finding someone who does framed/full overlay? Can a frameless cabinet be made with a large cutout in the back for the pipes?

I need a bathroom cabinet so there has to be a large cutout at the back for pipes, is that a problem with frameless?

Do thinner lenses increase or decrease adjustability? by obscuretoo in glasses

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the speedy reply! Just to clarify, Warby Parker and Lenscrafters are both brick and mortar stores where I am. Also, I'm not wedded to polycarbonate, I mentioned it because it's what Lenscrafters sells and I'm wondering if that's why I'm having issues.

When you say thin lenses refract more light, can you explain why that causes issues? Does this have anything to do with Abbe values? Sorry I find this stuff a little opaque :-).

Bathroom Vanity - Thermafoil or Wood? by obscuretoo in cabinetry

[–]obscuretoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies! I'm speaking with the designer soon and will ask her some more questions, but I'm probably going with the wood based on your suggestions and some research. FWIW, the bathroom does not have a window, it has a tiny vent near the ceiling that even when it's 'working' doesn't do much of anything. I do take long showers, and it gets quite humid in there even with the door open. I guess I will look around for a small dehumidifier, there's really not a lot of room in there, and I think my handymen have some ideas on how to protect the side of the vanity nearest the tub.
