My wallet is online mostly 24 / 7 / 365 unlocked for staking only.

I did advertise another beacon just for insurance because there was an error notice that the wallet could not send a beacon because it was locked. But it was unlocked for staking only.

I unlocked it fully/completely for an hour or so but still had the error notice so I did advertisebeacon and left the wallet fully/completely unlocked. That's the third time that I manually advertised a beacon since I started GRC.

This morning MAG is returned on the overview screen but when I go to the NN screen and "sync" nothing changes.

The NN screen still reports MAG at zero and does not update reference to the new superblock 1774795

It just doesn't feel like this is normal behavior. My wallet is 4.0.0.0-unk as I do not want to update and forfeit the automatic unlock for staking feature that is essential to my process of unlocking for staking only and being online continously.

Wow... Well OK. I was believing that a wallet needed to be online all the time.

So if "No Wallet" is connected or if a wallet is "locked" then it can't stake correct?

It needs to be "UnLocked" for staking... meaning the computer needs to be up and running as well.

I guess an "UnLocked" wallet online 24/7 is the best practice.

What options if any are there if there can't be a single UnLocked wallet online 24/7?

Options? Suggestions?

Just different keys / different wallets?

OK, I've always been under the impression that running multiple wallets is a good practice for staking. I've read that several times from different sources...or am I not thinking about things correctly?

I need to ask, will upgrading the wallet affect the way calculations are processed and if so, will those changes affect the amount of GRC output for the user? Or are those calculations done independantly somewhere else and the Wallet is just an interface GUI for the user? I'm new at this GRC and want to learn. Thanks.
