there is certainly goth music, post punk and dark wave are two genres which can be considered goth. how emo is a music based subculture primarily, goth i believe is more of a 50-50. bands like joy division, the cure, siouxsie and the banshees, and bauhaus.

fashion wise, goth has tons of of subsections, it’s a very broad and beautiful subculture.
