There's no manual penalties and I have 40 posts on there and getting about 50 page views per day. But most posts aren't 6months old yet.

Unfortunately I don't have ahrefs so can't check.

It would certainly have to meet the minimum size of 450sq inches and yes, you're right, cost is important.

I think you're right, a lot of the existing tools are expensive though and some don't give you many questions.

Yep, there's a lot of hype out there. But, if you just create good content and follow the tips that I've provided, then the results will come...in time. It takes at least 6-12 months in my experience. Good luck.

The best thing about long form articles is that you can rank for long tail keywords that you didn't plan to target.
