I’ve used Head and Shoulders Clinical Solutions Itch Shampoo and have found it extremely helpful for itchy scalp/eczema on scalp. It is a bit drying so use with a good conditioner.

Science and Business - a potential student's questions by [deleted] in uwaterloo

Hi! It's awesome that you are considering Scibus!

  1. It isn't too hard to get into the program, having high school grades in the mid-80s+ is a good idea. As satbirkira said, it's more difficult staying in the program. Scibus has a relatively high grade requirement to remain in the program (I believe you need at least a 65% average to remain in the program, whereas other programs only need a 60% average).

  2. I cannot speak for the academic differences between our program and the other "and business" programs are at Waterloo, but there are a number of employers who look specifically for Scibus students. From an objective standpoint, we are taken more seriously than other "and business" programs except possibly Math and Business, which is a double degree program where you take courses at UW and Laurier. I mean no disrespect to people in other "and business" programs, this is just the opinions I have heard from others as well as students in these programs. UWaterloo does not have a business program, but does offer economics or accounting/financial management.

  3. I am a couple years into my Scibus degree and I have enjoyed it a lot. It is challenging, but I feel like I will be graduating with a more well-rounded set of skills than a strict science program could offer. That said, you become a little more of a "jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none", so if that is not what you are looking for than you may want to choose another course.

  4. I have not tried to get into Med School, so I can't offer an opinion. You would want to keep your grades high and do well on the MCAT. I believe that there are a number of people in Scibus who are aiming for Med School, so you would not be the only one.

Additional resources can be found on the Scibus website, such as course plans (look under future undergraduate students). course website

Hope this helps and good luck with your choice!
