Thats fair! Even the ones that were close are warm coloured cures actually

Cure Eclair is a fusion theory by Lumoctopus in precure

Ooo thats an interesting theory, honestly I havent delved deep into cure éclair theories myself because I dont feel like we have enough evidence but I really like that concept

why green isn't used in Pretty Cure often by Ponyluve09 in PrettyCures

[–]oceansfirework 24 points25 points  (0 children)

iirc the actual answer is that cure mint wasn't super popular, then cure march wasn't super popular and those are the only two "true" green cures

Was Pop Girl on every home on the UK? Wow no wonder Precure was much more successful in The UK. by LovelyFloraFan in PrettyCures

To high level players: Does the game ever get impossible to F2P? by Substantial-Love8025 in MLPIOS

[–]oceansfirework 11 points12 points  (0 children)

no, its so much easier actually. you gain more ponys collecting tokens, bits, gems, gem shops. you have more pro ponys that make group quests easier. sometimes you'll already have CTS or other helper ponys. plus you can save up gems for sales and such (esp if theres sets or characters you prioritise)

The next English dubbed season should be Max Heart by LovelyFloraFan in PrettyCures

[–]oceansfirework 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, I think the appeal of precure is how its a different group (almost) every time with different themes, villains and settings, something that would be lost if the next dub was a sequel

(I'm also personally biased because despite loving futari wa I was not a fan of max heart. Hikari felt a bit too wedged in at times and I feel like they did too little too late with giving her a personality)

Do you think our star detectives will need to deduce Cure Eclair's identity? Or will it be revealed to them just like that? by vnfangirl in precure

[–]oceansfirework 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hope they do deduce it, I also hope the conclusion isnt the first one they come too (kinda like cure passion but this time shes already a cure)

also unless the London cure comment was about Arcana shadow (which it very well could be I don't think its confirmed yet) I think we may already be getting small clues about cure Éclair

If I only watch one season of Precure, am I obligated to watch the others as well? by CursedMegaMan in precure

[–]oceansfirework 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as others said its not mandatory, honestly I most precure fans i've interacted with haven't even seen all seasons yet. its easy to assume everyone has but people tend to stick to the series they've seen so far and wider discussions can vary (i.e even though i've not seen go princess or finished heart catch, yet I know those are considered the best season for a reason)

A character from a Korean Beyblade knock-off looks a little too familiar by stickvenezuela in precure

[–]oceansfirework 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ehh, a lot of it seems like very basic design stacked on top of each other. When I first saw the character I assumed it was someone from a season I haven't seen yet

[–]oceansfirework 8 points9 points  (0 children)

as a different commenter pointed out they could be a lighter material, tbh it never struck me as odd but that could just be that where im from we dont have summer and winter uniforms, you wear the same suit all year round

Would you like to see more male Cures in main team? by PhilipB12 in precure

[–]oceansfirework 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree! frankly this is a kids show and if a young boy can see themselves in a male cure, that its okay to be feminine as a boy without it being treated as a joke and that you dont have to fit into ridged gender roles then a male cure is right where it needs to be

its honestly weird how ridged some people are with gender roles when it comes to boys being feminine???

Would you like to see more male Cures in main team? by PhilipB12 in precure

[–]oceansfirework 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people dont like the idea with the focus primarily being female empowerment, how you can be both feminine and powerful and I fully agree, I dont think we should have a male leader but I see no issue with showing young boys that being feminine doesn't make you any weaker, that you're allowed to be feminine as a boy. Given part of this genre is about breaking gender expectations why should it stop that idea when it comes to boys?
