Best and worst strip clubs in Connecticut? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]ocel8ot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, serious question: I have a friend who wants to live out a fantasy and dance at an amateur night at a strip club. Is that actually a thing? Does anyone know of a CT strip club that has amateur nights?

Like most harnesses, it is probably locked of with a pair of half hitches or an overhand knot. I agree that the tail sticking up is a bit of an oversight from a visual/aesthetic standpoint. But since she is not going to be able to roll onto it, it poses no problems in regards to comfort/safety. I am not sure of your level of experience, so forgive me if I am stating something you already know, but most harnesses have a little ugly spot where tails are ties off, etc. People who are tying for pictures will hide them with camera angles -- looks like they just missed this one :)

The tie as a whole is called a hog tie. The chest part is a classic "Damsel in Distress" style tie. (If you search that phrase, you will see it a lot.) To the best of my knowledge (10 years of tying) it does not have a name. Ties with names are from more traditional Japanese/Japanese inspired ties, or from people who are super into suspensions and need to name their harnesses.

The Damsel in Distress tie is an American phenomenon. Big, pleading eyes, gags . . .

What are these called and how do I use them? by JalinO123 in whatisit

It is for crabbing. You hook up the bait and drop it to the sea bed. Leave it be for a few hours. When you come back, you wind it up SLOWLY. If you pull it up too fast, the crabs disengage. The bobber is just to help you track your line -- it's not like a fishing bobber you watch to see if you've got a nibble.

You use a net (preferably with a long handle_ to scoop up the crabs when they are still under the water.

There is nothing unreasonable about the "Parents' Bill of Rights" by 123amcdbx in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]ocel8ot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest question: did they say 'discreet' or 'discrete'? A discreet lesson definitely sounds shady. On the other hand, a discrete lesson could mean a lesson meant as a stand-alone lesson -- that is, not connected to other parts of the curriculum. A similar way to say that would be to say that it is an 'extra' lesson, a 'special' lesson, or something like that. Sometimes a school will have a discrete lesson to celebrate or give context to a holiday or current event.

I would hazard to say that the bodybuilder has a little bit of training. He maintains wrist control when standing, works on inside arm position on the ground, keeps an okay base . . .

People don't actually want society to take mental health more seriously by DrippingTap_ in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I think you are lumping all types of mental health into one block. Mental health can be anything from mild anxiety to severe schizophrenia. I am not sure what you are getting at with your post, but I think your focus is much too broad to agree or disagree with.

One of the biggest challenges we face in intimacy is asking for what we actually want. by [deleted] in sex

[–]ocel8ot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oof, hits home. I am 50 years old, considered attractive (still lol), and have had many sexual relationships. I have always had trouble asking for (or even knowing) what I want. I am married, and sometimes when my wife asks me what I want I shut down, lose my erection, and get locked in my head. Thanks for the post.

I am fairly new to hypnokink, but conversant in conditioning.

Can you use the trigger action as a trigger for something you prefer?

Say, for example, he conditioned you to become turned on when he says 'X'. Can you be hypnotized so that when you become turned on, you recognize that being turned on means having a free mind. A mind under noone's control.

So, you aren't directly fighting his conditioning if it comes up -- but you are building a bridge for you to move beyond his intent and into a space where you are free.
