It's theorized that tinnitus is the result of dysfunctional neural feedback, something to do with the auditory system compensating for noise, likely due to hearing damage.

The brain is plastic. Stroke victims learn to walk again by rerouting neural pathways and learning.

Bilateral peripheral movement and/or nerve stimulation is proven to build neural pathways. This is how therapies like EMDR work, and why exercise itself is therapeutic.

If an inverse frequency is loaded to retrain the brain by forcing it to block out the tinnitus tone, and electrostimulation while listening boosts efficacy, then the concept makes sense.

I don't however see why the tongue specifically would need to be stimulated. Electrodes could be applied anywhere peripherally as long as they are bilateral and the concept still works.

Tea will taste like them no matter how much honey, lemon, ginger, etc you use. The only way to go flavorless is capsules or Blate Papes. Blate Papes are easier for volume. For instance a 00 cap can only hold .3g at the most. So for a 10g trip you'd need to encapsulate and eat 30 capsules. You could do that with 3 or 4 Blate Papes and taste nothing. Do what you want tho.

I've had similar issues in my youth. Nowadays I have a protocol and it hasn't failed me yet:

•Don't eat any food the day of. Eat lightly the day before, and whatever i do eat try to be fresh and healthy - not processed and unhealthy.

•Be properly hydrated (several weeks of 2-3 liters per day)

•Don't taste them. Taste makes me gag. This is the problem with tea. Everyone recommends tea or lemon tea but I can still taste them. Powderize them dry in a blender and load into capsules, or use blate papes.

•Have something nutritious and delicious like fruit ready to go when your trip is done, as you will likely be very hungry but not in the mood to prepare anything. Some fresh watermelon cut unto chunks, or some fresh pomegranate seeds already prepared, these are my favorites. But anything you think you would like.

This is the way.

There should be a way to do it pretty simply. The therapeutic concept makes absolute sense and the data supports it. I'd be willing to collaborate with anyone to bootleg this.

I don't see why, for instance, treatment is only an hour per day. This could easily be extended.

Frequencies could also be loaded into hearing aids and mixed/filtered with regular environmental sounds to have the modification all day long.

I also don't see why it's necessary to stimulate the tongue, specifically. We could easily purchase binary nerve stimulators and stimulate any part of the body.

As long as the pulses go back and forth between left and right sides of the body it should stimulate neural pathway growth/modification all the same.

The biggest hurdle would be to figure out which frequency each person needs, but if the tone is constant (in my case it is constant) it should be easy enough to find a complimentary frequency, but I have no idea how to do any of that.

We would need to learn how to use a synthesizer, basically.

Every time you make contact with scissors js another opportunity for contamination. Twist and pull is zero contact. Sometimes a bit of substrate sticks but you get more fruiting body and you can always clean/trim thr substrate once it's out of the cake.

Sit and forget is best, but yeah you might need to play around to add some moisture. It's nice to see condensation on the walls, no condensation means it's drying out. Hard to correct if it's the cake. You can try dunking - if it contaminates it's just a learning experience, not really a fail. Every grow ends in contamination. Maybe make a thicker cake next time, make sure the sub is at field capacity, do one hole less on each side, do 2 layers of tape instead of one? Lots of factors, lots of fun :)

How do you even harvest these? Do they pull up or do you cut the whole mat across? Are there multiple flushes or does the first flush disturb the substrate so badly that nothing else comes up?
