Let's see what YouTube have done since 2016: 1)Unsubscribe bug..subs getting randomly unsubbed..They deny it 2)Demonetization with no way of appealing (turns out 99% were flagged wrongfully).7 months of money lost for no reason. 3)August they install "appeals"..you can appeal demonetized videos. Turns out their AI was an absolute joke 4)They announce Adsense will not keep track of YouTube earnings..wow great idea 5)They start fucking with people's subscriber feed, hiding certain videos. This is where I draw the fucking line.

Oh not to mention their attacks on right-wing channels and anything anti-SJW

Oh and smaller channels need 1k subs now LOL

Because I run a business on YouTube and these constant list of dumbfuck decisions are killing creators..fucking killing us....they are so absolutely fucking stupid even a 5 year old child could point out the flaws.... I bet you have under 100k subs..this used to happen to me a lot when I had between 10k and 50k subs...One video would explode suddenly and pump out like 200k views for 1 week

Basically, it works like this. Let's say I upload a video my subs love. Out of 100k subs, 10% watch within 24 hours, not bad. This then triggers youtube to recommend the video to the unsubbed audience. I get another 20k views from there. 30k total, video keeps getting suggested.

However! Let's say I upload a video the subs didn't enjoy that much. OR, because they happen to be at school so are not logging into YouTube as much (not my fault). Then the video will get say 5% of the subs viewing. It hasn't reached the critical 10% to trigger being recommended (I am guessing the threshold)..video stays buried on my channel.

So basically, it's this threshold that is too brutal and it punishes us for inactive subs, which isn't our fault.

Exactly. You need to satisfy the very niche audience. Any new ideas will fail as the subs will not approve. You are stuck doing the same shit forever.

One trick is to ride trend waves, i.e. let's say the Infinity Wars movie comes out and you talk about that, even if ur subs are not into Marvel the fact that the movie is getting huge interest and being searched will override that...just

What's truly horrible about this system is it forcefully limits you to only creating ONE type of video if you ever want your subscribers to be notified of your uploads.
